Sushmita Sen Reveals Her Wedding Plans Post Breakup With Lalit Modi, 'I Also Want...'

Sushmita Sen was among the most beautiful, confident, and talented actresses in the 90s. After winning the Miss Universe pageant in 1994, she came into the media spotlight and gradually made her way into Bollywood. Over the years, Sushmita worked in films like Biwi No. 1, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, No Problem, Dulha Mil Gaya, etc, which helped her make a way into people's hearts. As a result, fans have always been curious to know more about the actress's personal life, given her unmarried status. Recently, Sushmita Sen opened up about her marriage plans, and her honest reply won hearts. 

Sushmita Sen admits she wants to get married

Sushmita Sen, admired for her honest and unfiltered personality, recently interacted with her fans in a live Instagram session. During the session, she calmly replied to most of the questions her fans had for her, including the ones about her marriage plans. It all started when the actress revealed that she went to Jaipur to attend a wedding. As a result, her followers began to inquire about her marriage plans. In response, Sushmita expressed her desire to get married and said: 

"I also want to get married."

In the same reply, Sushmita explained that just because she wants to get married, she can't get married to anyone. Rather, she wants to find the right person. The Aarya actress mentioned that in a romantic sense, there should be a bond of heart when choosing a partner. Later, the couple can get married. Highlighting the significance of a right partner, she said: 

“Milna chahiye na koi shaadi karne layek. Aise thodi hoti hai shaadi. Kehte hai na, bohot romantic way mein toh dil ka rishta hota hai. Dil tak baat toh pahunchni chahiye na. Shaadi bhi kar lenge." 

Sushmita Sen's ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, opened up about their friendship 

During the last few years, Sushmita Sen had been in a relationship with model and actor, Rohman Shawl. The couple began dating in 2018 and made their relationship official. However, after a few years, they parted ways and announced the news to their fans. Despite not being in a relationship, they continue to be friends. Speaking about their friendship, Rohman, in a previous interview with Zoom, said:

"We are dal-chawal, there's a comfort, we understand each other completely, and we don't care what people think or talk about. I don't get into that. I can't explain my relationship to people, but we both understand each other, and that's enough for me."

Sushmita Sen's personal life 

Sushmita Sen was rumoured to be dating actor, Randeep Hooda from 2004 to 2006. Later, the Main Hoon Na actress was in a relationship with Rohman Shawl from 2018 to 2021. However, their 15-year age difference became a subject of discussion online. In July 2022, Sushmita shared a video with businessman and cricket administrator, Lalit Modi hinting at their relationship, but later the rumours of their breakup surfaced. In a 2023 interview with Mid-Day, Sushmita addressed those speculations and called it "just another phase."
