Talking to the U.K. talk show The Graham Norton Show, Taylor Swift discussed her dreamy proposal to Travis Kelce. She talked about how the NFL star turned his garden into a dreamy proposal place. The singer shared she was caught by surprise, as this happened on the day she was shooting for her appearance on his podcast, New Heights. Taylor mentioned that she and Travis were filming for 3-4 hours, and meanwhile, he was transforming his garden into a dreamy setup. Taylor could be quoted as saying:

"We filmed the podcast for about three or four hours ... and meanwhile behind his house, he was having the whole back garden turned into this."

In an interview with ABC 5, Travis's dad, Ed Kelce, shared that his son and Taylor Swift actually got engaged back on August 10, 2025. He revealed how his son was preparing to pop the question, sharing that he had asked his son to propose to his ladylove wherever it would feel special, even if it were on the side of the road. Ed Kelce further shared that his son and Taylor were about to leave for dinner when the NFL star suggested they go for a glass of wine, and that was the moment when he popped the question to his lady love.

Following their engagement, the duo called their parents and shared the good news. They didn't instantly announce their engagement to their fans, but did so only after several days, on August 26, 2025. Travis also mentioned in his podcast that he was sweating and, as he's an emotional person, a few tears were shed here and there on the day they got engaged.

The ring was made in reference to the Victorian age, and was all things gorgeous.

This estimated budget was given by floral expert Ashley Greer to PEOPLE. She also shared that to recreate such an imaginary garden from Swift's song, 800 pounds of greenery were needed, along with 1,200 roses and 1,000 other flowers. And one thing is sure, that Travis left no stone unturned to make his proposal to his lady love look like a dream.
