Taylor Swift's album release is not just a simple drop, but a complete experience with Easter eggs, pop-ups, and a planned schedule for everything fans get to see and how they get to see it. However, someone has attempted to interfere with the Mastermind and leaked content from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, hours before its release. And now, fans are urging others not to listen to the leaked versions of Taylor's work.
The fans have been waiting with bated breath for Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, to be released. However, amid those reports, there have been leaks of certain tracks from the album ahead of its release. It was Guyset's podcast that reacted to the leak, and the songwriter and singer herself reacted to the post on Instagram. In the video, the man could be heard saying:
"Apparently, Taylor Swift’s album leaked, and that’s f–ked. There’s less than 24 hours to go until the album drops. You can’t wait a little longer? Like, no, no! That is one thing I’ll never do. You’ll never catch me listening to a leak of an album."
He added that it was messed up that people would do something like this and miss out on the actual experience Taylor Swift had curated for them. The Guyset's podcast host also emphasised that fans don't want anything early, as they want to enjoy theorising what the songs would sound like. He concluded by urging fans not to ruin the experience. He was quoted as saying:
"That’s messed up. I wanna listen to it the way it was intended. I want to listen to it with full production. I don’t need to know anything early. I want to listen to it the way it’s supposed to happen. I like all the theorising. I like all the predictions of what’s gonna happen, what’s it going to sound like, what’s she gonna say, what’s the blah blah blah. I like that stuff. That makes this fun! Don’t ruin the fun. Don’t ruin the party!"
As soon as the reports of the leak surfaced, fans started taking to their respective social media accounts, urging fans not to share or listen to these leaked versions. A user penned, "ATTENTION SWIFTIES: Leaks of 'Life Of A Showgirl' may start hitting your timeline soon, BE CAREFUL while playing a video and DO NOT Engage with leaks AT ALL. Spread the word!!" Another comment read, "Like I said, there are some leaks of the lyrics and explanation of all songs surfacing on Twitter, please avoid and don't engage with them. We are only 9 days away."
