The global star also garnered significant attention following her engagement announcement with NFL star, Travis Kelce. The supercouple got engaged back on August 10, 2025 and made it official on August 26, 2025. In a recent interview, Taylor recalled a fun moment when she and her fiancé were on the Eras Tour in 2024.

Taylor Swift reveals Travis Kelce’s favourite director is Greta Gerwig

In a recent interview with Late Night with Seth Meyers, Taylor Swift discussed her latest project, The Life of a Showgirl, and shared a humorous story involving her fiancé, Travis Kelce. The Life of a Showgirl artist mentioned that when she and her would-be husband, Travis, went on the concert tour, the NFL star would visit the VIP tents and later share gossip or stories with her.

Recalling a moment from their 2024 Eras Tour, Taylor revealed that Travis Kelce was a big fan of the Barbie director, Greta Gerwig. She also encouraged him to speak to the filmmaker. In her words:

"I was like, 'I got to let you know, your favourite director is in the tent.' He loves Greta Gerwig. He loves her movies. He was like, 'Oh, my God, I really want to tell her how funny I thought Barbie was.' And I’m like, 'You absolutely should. She’s the sweetest, giggliest person to tell that you like their work.'"

In the same interview, Taylor Swift shared a hilarious moment from her London Eras Tour in June 2024. Actor, Hugh Grant had attended the concert show with his wife, Anna Eberstein, where Taylor’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, also joined them in the VIP tent. However, the NFL star accidentally mistook Anna for filmmaker, Greta Gerwig and praised her enthusiastically for directing Barbie. He even cracked a joke, pointing towards Taylor, without realising that he was talking to the wrong person.

Later, while recounting the concert night, Travis mentioned the celebrities that he met to Taylor, including Hugh Grant, but didn’t mention Greta Gerwig, which surprised the global star. So, when she asked about Greta, Travis expressed that the filmmaker might not have liked the 'I'm just Ken, too' joke. He went on to tell Taylor that 'Greta' and Hugh Grant were dancing very closely and seemed like soulmates, assuming that the duo were working together on a movie.

Later, when Taylor saw videos of Travis dancing with 'Greta,' which made her think everything was fine, until Travis dropped a bomb and said, "Oh, that’s not Greta." That’s when Taylor finally realised what had happened exactly. The Life of a Showgirl star then explained to her fiancé that he had actually complimented the wrong person. She was quoted as saying:

"'Is there any chance at all, baby, that you complimented Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna, on her movie Barbie, said, 'I’m just Ken too,' and she politely nodded because she didn’t have the heart to tell you she didn’t direct it. And is there any chance that the people that look like soulmates are Hugh Grant and his soulmate?'"
