Amid the ongoing debate surrounding the film’s release, the actor-turned-politician finally broke his silence on the following. At a recent campaign event for his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam addressed the matter. He was quoted as saying:

"You may try to silence me, but you cannot silence every Vijay in every household."

The story of Jana Nayagan revolves around two central characters. One is a hero who fights for the common people, and the other is a powerful antagonist who wants to rule and control the world. The duo crossed paths in the past and would again meet many years later. The film focuses on a child’s unspoken fear and struggle, which draws the protagonist, a former police officer.
