Michael Bublé is a Grammy-winning Canadian-Italian singer, songwriter, and actor known for his modern interpretations of classic jazz and easy listening standards. He is currently appearing on the NBC reality show, The Voice, as a coach. Season 28 of the show is currently seeking worthy candidates to participate and the chair is holding blind auditions to select the best voices from among hundreds of music enthusiasts. In a recent episode, Michael Bublé told a contestant why his wife might leave him and what the contestant needed to do to save their marriage. Read on to know about the entire incident.
During Season 28 of The Voice, Michael Bublé made the jovial comment about his wife leaving him to get contestant, Teo Ramdel to join his team. Teo received a four-chair turn and caused the coaches to go all-in during the blind auditions. For those unfamiliar with the show's format, the term 'all-in' refers to the enthusiastic and competitive reactions from all four coaches: Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg, as they engaged in a healthy fight to secure Teo on their team. Teo Ramdel, from Tijuana, Mexico, performed a laid-back and emotional rendition of the classic song, Historia de un Amor.
The coaches praised his vocals and his natural ability to tell a story through his performance, with Reba McEntire calling him a 'big win' and Michael Bublé calling him a potential 'frontrunner'. The judges engaged in a competitive but good-natured argument to secure Ramdel for their team. Snoop Dogg even tried to speak some Spanish in an attempt to woo him. However, in the end, Ramdel chose to join Team Michael Bublé, who won him over by connecting with him through his own ties to the Latino community.
The Voice, Michael Bublé jokingly told contestant Teo Ramdel that his wife might leave him if Ramdel didn't join his team. The comment was an exaggerated way to express his desperate desire to coach the talented artist. The context behind it was that Bublé's wife, Luisana Lopilato, is from Argentina and is a native Spanish speaker. Leo Ramdel delivered a powerful performance in Spanish that Michael and his wife would enjoy. The Spicy Maragarita singer even spoke to Leo in Spanish during his pitch.
Michael mentioned that Luisana insisted on playing music by the Spanish-speaking artist, Luis Miguel, in their house. That is why, by convincing the talented Spanish-speaking singer, Teo, to join his team, Michael was framing it as a way to win the favour of his wife. Then he jokingly stated that if Teo didn't choose to join his team, his wife might leave him. Ultimately, his jovial pleading worked on Teo, and the contestant chose him as his coach. Notably, the entire thing was said in a light-hearted tone and didn't imply any strained relationship between Michael Bublé and his wife.

Michael stated that he and his family had dance parties to Taylor Swift's songs at home. Sometimes the parties were even initiated by him, as he played hits like Shake It Off. He had previously admitted not being fond of Taylor's music, but with the influence of his wife and four kids, his musical taste has changed. He even took his wife and daughters to see Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Vancouver in December 2024. He later described the night as 'one of the coolest' of his life.
