Nancy Guthrie's missing case investigation has intensified with the increasing fear for her fragile health. Recently, news reports from Fox News claimed that the SWAT team conducted an operation in Tucson, Arizona, leading to some possible arrests. When news of the detention went viral, social media users were quick to claim that Nancy's son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni's former bandmate, Dominic Evans, and his mother were among those detained. Amid the claim, here's what we know about it.
According to reports from Fox News and NewsNation, a Pima County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence near East Orange Grove Road and North First Avenue amid the ongoing investigation to find Nancy Guthrie. They had detailed three individuals, including two men and a woman. Later, the Pima County Sheriff's Office confirmed on X that the people were detailed in connection to a tip received in the case. Still, no extra details could be shared due to their joint investigation with the FBI.

Gradually, social media users began to share unverified claims about Dominic Evans and his mother's arrest. According to one viral X post, Dominic Evans, a musician with ties to the Guthrie family through Tommaso Cioni and his mother, who lived a few miles away from Nancy Guthrie's home, was being questioned. However, authorities have not named him or any of his family members in connection with the detentions. As of now, there is no official confirmation that Dominic Evans or his mother was arrested, charged, or questioned in relation to the case.

Meanwhile, the local authorities and the FBI have repeatedly urged social media users and the public to avoid spreading misinformation during the ongoing investigation. According to NBC News and statements from the Pima County Sheriff's Office, the individuals detained during the SWAT operation were later released without charges. The investigators clarified that they have no official suspects in the case, and they are still following multiple leads as part of standard investigative procedures.
