Bollywood actress, Urvashi Rautela is hogging the limelight every day. This is because her latest offering, Daaku Maharaaj, has been super hit, and she has already been making noise for her chemistry opposite, Nandamuri Balakrishna. Now, if recent reports are to be believed, then the actress took Rs. 3 crore for a 3-minute role in the movie. This has shocked her 72.7 Million followers on social media.

Nandamuri Balakrishna's action-packed film, Daaku Maharaaj, had Urvashi shaking a leg with the 64-year-old actor in the Dabidi Dabidi song. Users slammed the actress as they found the dance vulgar, which objectified women. Now, if a recent report by ET Now is to be believed then Urvashi has taken Rs. 3 crore from Daaku Maharaj makers to do the movie. The report further revealed that the actress took Rs. 1 crore every minute for her performance in the movie despite having an array of flops. 

As per the report, Urvashi's net worth is around Rs. 236 crores, and her other earnings include the fame she got as an influencer. She has close to 73 Million people following her on social media. 

Daaku Maharaaj film controversy

Ever since the Daaku Maharaaj song, Dabidi Dabidi, was released, fans have called it cringe. Crooned by Vagdevi, fans found the song to be obscene as it showed intimacy between a 30 and a 64-year-old person. The song also had Nandamuri's famous dialogues, while the choreography of the song received a lot of negativity, which Shekhar Master did. Earlier in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the actress spoke about the negative reaction she had got and said it was hard to know that people spoke about Nandamuri in this particular way.

Speaking of the movie, Nandamuri plays the role of a tough cop who, with his wife, is against injustice. The story revolves around Nandamuri's transformation from a fearless robber king, Daaku Maharaaj, to fighting against rich families to give justice to the oppressed. The film that has Nandamuri in a lead role also has a stellar cast of Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary and Pradeep Rawat, apart from Urvashi. Bobby Kolli directed the movie, while Vijay Kartik Kannan did the cinematography, followed by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane, who did the editing.

Did Netflix delete Urvashi Rautela's scenes from Daaku Maharaaj?

Daaku Maharaaj was released in January 2025 and received mixed responses from both the audiences and the critics. According to a News 18 report, the film made Rs. 104 crore at the box office. There were strong rumours surrounding that OTT giant, Netflix had deleted Urvashi's scenes from the movie before it was released on February 21, 2025, on OTT. Netflix released the movie poster without Urvashi and sent social media into a frenzy. They tried to decode why she was removed from the poster. After a lot of roaring among her fans, Netflix made changes and released individual posters of Daaku Maharaaj that had Urvashi's snap twice in the entire carousel.
