Urvashi Rautela Once Shared She Was The 1st To Join 'Sanam Re', Netizens Say, 'I Guess Delusion...'

Urvashi Rautela made her acting debut with Singh Saab The Great, in 2013. She has recently been hogging the headlines for her performance in the Telugu film, Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, now a video has resurfaced on the internet in which the actress claimed that she was the first one to join the cast of Sanam Re.

Urvashi Rautela sat for an interview back in 2016 with Box Office India. The actress was joined by her co-stars, Yami Gautam and Pulkit Samrat. During the conversation, Urvashi revealed how she was the first one to join the cast of Sanam Re. However, netizens found Yami and Pulkit's behaviour with Urvashi rather 'mean'. Urvashi Rautela stated:

"I was the first one to join the cast. That time the cast wasn’t decided, who is going to play what."

While Urvashi stated how she was the first to join, Yami Gautam interrupted her and stated, "That's what was told to everybody. We all were on board." Urvashi further shared that she had signed the film in August 2014; Pulkit quipped, "Mujhse wo puch rahe the, ye kaisi hai, ye kaisi hai." In response to their co-stars, Urvashi stated:

"So maybe she (Divya Khosla Kumar) kept it under wraps or whatever. So yeah, I signed that time. That’s how it all started. A lot of people believe that I got it because of 'Love Dose', the song with Yo Yo Honey Singh, the international music video." 

In the same conversation, Pulkit once again took a jibe at Urvashi and asked her, "You were so bad in that, Urvashi. How can you get it because of that?" Responding to the actor, Urvashi revealed how she had three movie deals with Divya and how she was happy about the character she got to play in the film. She further added:

"People do tell me that. I mean I signed this movie first. It somehow came later. That’s how it happened. I have a very wonderful association with them. I did a song 'Daddy Mummy'. I have three movie deals with them. This is the first film, and I am really excited about it. And I'm also happy with the character which I am playing. It’s a treat to work with her. She is an amazing director."

At the time, the video was considered to be a humourous back-and-forth between co-actors. Now that it has resurfaced, the netizens are not as sure. A user wrote, "Interviews of Sanam re-exposed how mean Yami and Pulkit were to Urvashi. She never said anything to them and maintained her calm. People empathised with her." Another user penned, "Pure and pious ki devi Yami ko dekhlo. She and Pulkit straight up bullied Urvashi during this campaign." A Redditor's comment read, "I guess delusion helps to get by in this industry full of bitchy and condescending folks."
