Urvashi Rautela has been in the soup of controversy ever since she signed the Telugu film Daaku Maharaaj. Urvashi's interviews and items songs further ignited the situations on the internet. The movie, which has made Rs. 115 crore worldwide, will soon be released on Netflix, but it is against the news as the OTT giant dropped Urvashi from its poster. Not only this, some even claim that her scenes also got deleted from the film. Here's truth behind the buzz!

It seems shocking as a report in the IANS confirmed that the streaming giant has removed Urvashi Rautela from Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer film. Later, Netflix shared her pictures with the other star cast on their social media handle, ending the buzz. Not only this, the OTT giant further denied the claims and called them absolutely false.

For the unveresd, Daaku Maharaaj which stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deok, Pragya Jaiswal and Urvashi Rautel, is all set to premiere on Netflix on February 21, 2025. The film had a grand release across the world. Since Urvashi's item number in the film raised eyebrows, reports surfaced that Netflix had edited her out before the OTT debut.

When netizens reacted to Urvashi Rautela's not being on the poster of the film 

On February 16, 2025, Netflix posted the promotional poster of the film, Daaku Maharaaj, on their Instagram and shared the details of the release date. However, netizens quickly noticed that the poster only featured Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath. And Urvashi Rautela was nowhere to be seen. Along with the post, the caption read:

"We would just like to say pranaam maharaj. Watch Daaku Maharaaj, out on 21 Feb on Netflix!"

As soon as Netflix shared the poster, netizens started meme fest, noticing Urvashi Rautela's absence. They quickly chimed in to share their opinions on the changes. One user wrote, "India's first woman to be removed from the poster of a 105+ cr film." Another wrote, "Lmaoo, the best promoter of the movie isn't even on the poster."  A third user said, "I can see Urvashi peeping from behind those rocks."

Urvashi Rautela received backlash for not caring about other while promoting the film

Urvashi also made headlines for the way she promoted the film without caring about the ongoing situation. During an interview with ANI, Urvashi made an insensitive comment about Saif Ali Khan's attack and kept flaunting her gifts in the media. When she was asked to give a byte on Saif Ali Khan's stabbing case, she was quoted as saying:

"It is very unfortunate. Now, Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs. 105 crore at the box office, and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex. In contrast, my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don’t feel confident wearing it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate."
