Varinder Singh Ghuman Paid Rajvir Jawanda Tribute In Last Post Before Death, Fans Call Life 'Unfair'

Punjab lost another of its sons as Varinder Singh Ghuman suddenly died of cardiac arrest. He was a celebrated Indian fitness enthusiast and actor, known as India's first professional vegetarian bodybuilder. He passed away on October 9, 2025, at 42 years of age, leaving his family, friends and fans heartbroken. Following his untimely demise, condolences poured in from a lot of his industry acquaintances and his fans. Amid the outpouring of grief, fans have revisited his last social media post, which was about the death of another Punjabi gem, Rajvir Jawanda.

Varinder Singh Ghuman mourned the loss of Rajvir Jawanda in his last post

Like a lot of people, Varinder Singh Ghuman was also affected by the death of popular Punjabi singer and actor, Rajvir Jawanda. The latter had been in ventilation for 11 days before succumbing to multiple organ failure on October 8, 2025. Following that, Varinder took to Instagram to share a tribute dedicated to Rajvir. Notably, it was his final social media post before he himself passed a few hours later. Varinder felt that Rajvir's death was a 'ghata' (loss) for the Punjabi music industry. The bodybuilder prayed for God to grant Rajvir's family the strength to go through the tough time. He wrote:

"RIP Brother Punjab ate punjabi music industry nu bhut vada ghata hai, Waheguru Pariwar nu bal bakshe."

The fact that Varinder died so soon after mourning another prominent figure left many fans deeply emotional. The incident came as a shock to them, who took to the comment section to express their sorrow. One wrote, "Life is so unpredictable, yesterday he posted about Rajvir and today he gone, Hard to believe.... Om shanti." Another stated, "Kal Rajvir nu shardhanjli ditti te ajj aap chala giya life is so unfair and unpredictable RIP Bro." Two more comments read, "Najar lag gyi Punjab nu" and  "Ki pta c bai tu nale chle jana so sad news."

Varinder Singh Ghuman's cause of death

Varinder was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Amritsar for treatment of a shoulder issue. The Tiger 3 actor was undergoing a minor surgery for a bicep injury. During the treatment, he suffered a heart attack and could not be revived, leading to his untimely demise. Varinder's manager, Yadvinder Singh, and his nephew, Amanjot Singh Ghuman, confirmed his passing to the reporters. On October 10, 2025, Varinder's team shared the details of his last rites through a post on his Instagram account.

When and where will Varinder Singh Ghuman's funeral be held?

Following Varinder's death, his mortal remains were brought to his home, where his family, friends, and the community gathered to pay their respects. He is survived by his four children, his sons, Gurtejvir Singh Ghuman and Bhagwant Singh Ghuman, and daughters, Gavy Ghuman and Ekamjot Ghuman. It is not known whether he has a wife, as he kept his personal life away from the public eye. His funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, at 3 pm at the crematorium in Model Town in Jalandhar.
