"Just before tying the knot, we wanted to have a court marriage. And guess what? The marriage officer allotted us Valentine’s Day to seal the deal. Cute."

When Vikrant Massey revealed his mom urged him to be in a live-in relationship with Sheetal Thakur

In an interview with Youtuber AminJaz on his podcast titled, Untriggered, Vikrant said that he and Sheetal were together for almost a decade. They dated for nearly eight years before getting married. They both wanted to be sure of their compatibility and shared that it worked for them and it suited them. Their temperaments suited each other and their life aspirations were similar. They lived together for almost the entirety of our relationship. Vikrant also shared his mother had urged them to be in a live-in relationship before they got married to check their compatibility to start a family. In his words:

"It was my mother who suggested that we stay together. Thankfully, I have really progressive parents. My mother was born and raised in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1962. She’s done her high school education and was pretty progressive. She would listen to bands like ABBA and Boney M, wear stilettos and read Sidney Sheldon and Jawaharlal Nehru. So, that helped. She recommended that we stay together and it worked for us."

Going ahead in the interview, Vikram revealed that when he and Sheetal were in a live-in relationship, they could see different shades of each other, which defined their companionship. Vikram and his wife had met via a common friend and it was surely love at third sight. He added:

"On the third day that we met, we realised that there were sparks flying and why not address it. There was an instant attraction. That’s always the first thing, attraction. You don’t fall head over heels immediately; no one does. When I say, ‘it was love at third sight,’ during the first two meetings, it was contemplation and assessment, ‘Should I? Should I not?'”

Vikrant had even confessed that initially, when he was in class 7, he had thought infatuation was true love. He used to get butterflies in his stomach and would look for his school-time sweetheart during recess in school. It made him happy until Sheetal came and gave him another dimension of love.
