The lockdown and pandemic have made us all turn into chefs. We all have had worn the chef's hat at least once and bring out the Sanjeev Kapoor within us. From gol gappe to momos to pasta and every other mouth-watering dish has been tried and made in our kitchens. And our beloved celebrities too indulged themselves in the therapeutic session of cooking to tame their cravings for delicious food. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Vivek Dahiya are one of those couples, who stepped into their kitchen together to have a 'learn while you cook' session. For the uninitiated, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya had started off as colleagues in the show, Yeh hai Mohabbatein and had gradually fallen in love with each other. After an engagement in January 2016, Divyanka Tripathi had officially added Dahiya to her name on July 8, 2016, after marrying her soul mate, Vivek Dahiya. Their wedding was viral on social media and everybody was talking about the union of these two beautiful souls. A few days back, the couple had celebrated their 4th anniversary together.
In an interaction with ETimes, Vivek Dahiya opened up about his lockdown cooking sessions with wife, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. He shared how the couple had decided to utilise the time and try different dishes with the help of online tutorials. He said, “The only reason why everyone has discovered their culinary skills during the past few months is because everyone had a lot of time on hand. And when you are not working and just sitting at home, you want to use your time productively. Divyanka and I decided to find different ways to cook meals at home. Earlier, we used to travel a long way in our car to eat a particular cuisine, but in the past few months, we made those same dishes at home with the help of online information. There is so much info available online that one can easily cook interesting stuff. Plus, it is de-stressing, too.”
When asked if he has turned into a professional chef, he replied, “No, not at all. But, I can quickly whip up a healthy pasta dish or biryani. That’s also because I have lived alone and know how to cook for myself. Cooking is not new for me. But in the past few months, I did try making a few exotic dishes at home. I cooked dishes that were easy to make using ingredients that were readily available in the market.”
We had seen the couple cooking delicacies for one another during the lockdown phase as ordering food online was not an option. On March 25, 2020, Divyanka Tripathi had taken to her Instagram handle to post a collage consisting of three pictures, showing the process of making Kashmiri Pulao. The actress had written, “Aaj ka khaas... #KashmiriPulao for two... And it tasted good.” However, in another post, Divyanka had posted another collage in the same manner, showing off her preparations for mouth-watering Paneer Tikka and along with it, she had written a hilarious caption, that could be read as "Homemade #PaneerTikka, anyone? Pati loved it...and why won't he...he has to be home next 21 days!" (Don't Miss: Natasa Stankovic Flaunts Her Baby Bump In A Yellow Floral Dress, Shares 'Happiness Is On Its Way')

Followed by which, Vivek too had tried his hands on cooking to impress his wife with his culinary skills. On March 28, 2020, Vivek had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a long video, in which we could see him bringing out his inner-chef by cooking a dish which he had named, ‘Pasta-e-Khichdi’. Along with the long video, Vivek had written a small caption that could be read as “Shakahari saatvik paushtik bhartiya pasta khichdi, “Pasta-e-Hind” Bringing my inner chef out! #PastaEHind #MadeWithLove #HusbandTurnsChef.” (Recommended Read: Ankita Lokhande Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput On One-Month Death Anniversary, Lights A Diya For SSR)
