Manoj Jain is the son-in-law of Bollywood royalty, Raj Kapoor. He is the husband of Reema Kapoor and shares two beautiful sons with her, Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain. Manoj Jain hails from Uttar Pradesh

Manoj Jain was born on November 30, in Uttar Pradesh. He hails from a traditional farming family, who used to own mango orchards for generations. They eventually expanded to industrial business and have been in the textile business for over three decades. With a keen interest in the field, the family created several fabrics back in the '80s for numerous groups in the United Kingdom. Their family was a self-acclaimed pioneer of the Poly Viscose boom back in the day. 

Manoj Jain left his family business and made a career in finance

Manoj Jain grew up to follow a different line of work from his family. The businessman opened his own financial service company, which did investment banking. His company juggled private equity and valuations of businesses. They also guided businesses from all walks to improve their core valuations. The businessman started with the secondary market. However, he soon realised that they should create value for himself, so he started a new business. While the initial years were difficult, Manoj eventually found his niche and has since been successful.

Manoj Jain studied in Europe

Manoj Jain found his calling in finances. However, he spent years building a name for himself, which included building a solid base. He pursued his Masters degree from Europe's prestigious London School of Economics. Upon his return, he built himself some valuable businesses with a focus on several genres, including technology and brand building. 

Manoj Jain brought premium highstreet fashion to India

It was Manoj Jain who saw that the Indian youth had a desire for quality branded products and brought them the same. He understood that the youth wanted branded goods but at a price and used the country's online discount model for high-end brands. He introduced the Indian youth to his brand, Aftershock, which gave Indian women a chance to own glamorous clothing without paying designer prices. 

Manoj Jain and his relationship with the Kapoor Khandaan

Despite being the son-in-law of the Kapoor family, Manoj Jain has successfully maintained a low profile. He is rarely seen making public appearances or giving interviews. However, back in 2015, the businessman sat for a conversation with DNA, where he revealed if he felt intimidated by India's first film family. He was quoted saying:

"I was never intimidated. One could have been in a position where I could have got intimidated, but I was not. I knew the family for many years. I was studying in Europe for about 12 years, so I knew the family since the time I was in school, so it's been a long, long relationship."

In the same conversation, he was asked about his experience with the Kapoor family. He referred to them as fun and pure-hearted. Recalling his marriage with Reema Kapoor, he revealed that it was a mix of both love and arranged and love marriage. He was quoted saying:

"Everybody talks at the same time, so they don't get anywhere. But they are fun, clean-hearted and they enjoy life and that's a great mindset also. I knew the family for many years before I got married. It was a bit of both love and arranged marriage. I was very friendly with Rajiv, the youngest brother."
