Incidentally, the shocking incident took place on March 8, 2026, at the singer's luxury residence in the Beverly Crest neighbourhood, raising questions about security and the possible motive behind the shooting. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspected woman has been identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a local from Florida.

However, the officials confirmed that multiple rounds were fired toward the property during the daytime, and no injuries were reported, sighing relief to Rihanna's fans. According to reports from NBC News, the suspect who was sitting in a white Tesla parked across Rihanna's home allegedly fired between seven and ten rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time, prompting immediate police action. Some bullets hit the property, and one went through an interior wall. Fortunately, no one present at home got injured. For those unaware, sources told The Guardian that Rihanna was inside the house during the shooting. It was initially unclear whether her partner, A$AP Rocky, or their children were present at the time. 

Meanwhile, Ivanna has been taken into custody and is held on bail of USD 10.225 million, showcasing the serious nature and the danger she poses owing to the attack. If prosecutors pursue the attempted murder charge and a conviction is secured, Ivanna might have to face a long prison time, but for now, the case remains under investigation as the police are searching for more evidence.
