William Shatner's fans were left worried as he was reportedly hospitalised on September 24, 2025. On the day, the buzz circulated around that the actor faced some issues due to his irregular blood sugar levels, for which he immediately needed medical attention. Following this, William Shatner's team revealed that the actor was doing fine and had not suffered any major health issues. Now, hours after the speculations, the actor himself took to his Instagram handle and reacted to the speculations surrounding his illness and hospitalisation.

William Shatner dismisses the buzz about his illness and hospitalisation

Reports claimed that William Shatner was taken to a local hospital immediately after he experienced fluctuations in his blood sugar levels. The actor, now 94 years old, has left everyone worried about his health. On the other hand, another source revealed that the actor got treatment after his hospitalisation, and he was in good health. Going forward, the actor's representatives released a statement, claiming that the actor had not suffered any major health issues.

Now, the actor has dismissed all the rumours again on Instagram. He humorously added that the speculation surrounding his demise has been greatly exaggerated. In the caption, he thanked everyone and revealed being perfectly fine, while adding that people shouldn't trust tabloids or AI at all. His caption could be read as:

"I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!"

William Shatner's team dismissed the speculations about the actor being hospitalised 

Amid speculation about William Shatner being ill and hospitalised, his agency, TalentWorks, revealed to ABC 7 that the actor was doing perfectly fine, and the buzz about him being hospitalised and ill was not true. While his fans were relieved to know about the actor's good health, TMZ reported that the actor's agent, Harry Gold, revealed that the actor has experienced an issue with his blood sugar at his home in LA, which led him to call paramedics for precautions, and that too given his advanced age. Following this, Shatner was taken to a nearby hospital for a routine checkup, and after the doctors confirmed that there was no danger as such, he was released.

William Shatner is a Canadian actor, author, and pop culture icon whose career spans seven decades. Over the years, he has carved a space in the hearts of his fans, and even at the age of 94, he continues to do so, as he most recently brought his wit to Fox reality competition series, Stars On Mars. Back in the 1950s, he started his career with theatres and TV dramas, and following the same path, he rose to fame with his role as 'Captain James T. Kirk' in Star Trek. He is also known for his role in The Twilight Zone, the cop drama T.J. Hooker, and the acclaimed legal series Boston Legal, among so many others. Apart from acting, he also hosted the docuseries Rescue 911.
