Talking about how twins have changed his life and about his fatherhood phase, Karan once shared with Pinkvilla, “Well, it hasn't changed me, it just made me happier. If that's a change, then that's a welcome change. I’m just happier and much more satisfied with my existence. It's given me a big reason to live with a certain amount of energy and vigour for the next three decades of my life. I can't wait to see my children grow up around me, with me and for me”.
On March 08, 2018 on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, Karan posted wise and beautiful words for two of the most important women in his lives, his mother- Hiroo Johar and daughter- Roohi Johar. He wrote, “I was raised by a woman who had a strong mind, an independent mind and a solid soul. She taught me how to live a fearless life along with a strong sense of right and wrong! She also taught me the art of abandon! She made me the man I am, a man who is honoured to be raised by a woman of substance! Roohi my darling I hope I raise you to be just like your grandmother”.
In a media interaction last year, when Karan spoke about fatherhood for the first time after Yash and Roohi were born, he was quoted as saying, “Fatherhood is proving to be a breathtaking roller coaster ride. When they were conceived, I was ecstatic, but I told myself I would be a responsible father and not a paranoid mother. Then came the complexities of premature birth. And the heartache of seeing them in the incubator. But I felt a strong sense of ownership. They were my lifelines. A lifelong dream come true. And I couldn’t wait to take them in my arms. When I did that for the first time, it was incredible”. (Don't Miss: 9 Bollywood And Television Celebs Who Became Parents Via IVF And IVF Surrogacy)
He had further added, “I knew this was the beginning of a different kind of love story. The start of the best phase of my life. Mothers go through these emotions. Fathers come in later. But I was there right from the start, with the other mothers in the ICU whose babies were also born weighing less than 1.5 kilos, their vital body parts, their tiny lungs and heart underdeveloped. And each time a baby crossed 2 kilos and the nurses put up a smiley sunshine face announcing this, I would celebrate with their mothers because I fully empathised with them”.
With the following pic, Karan had then given his fans the first glimpse of Yash and Roohi:
Do not Yash and Roohi look super-adorable always? We hope to catch more of their cute glimpses.
