Zoe Saldana And Marco Perego's Relationship, Met On A Flight, Love At First Sight, Parents To 3 Kids

Zoe Saldana is one of the most beloved American actresses in Hollywood. Her acting debut dates back to 1999, when she appeared on television for the first time in a guest role on the hit series, Law & Order. Since then, she has found rapid success in the industry, starring opposite Britney Spears in the road film, Crossroads (2002) and working with Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). Love can find you anywhere and at any time. Well, this was definitely true for actress, Zoe Saldana, who fell for Marco Perego even before she saw his face. Zoe recalled her first meeting with the man of her dreams during a 2015 interview with USA Today. She confessed that she initially only saw Marco's behind while on a flight to New York. She described the feeling that she had after looking at him as “a vibration”. According to Zoe, Marco “turned in that moment because he felt the vibration as well.” Although she did not believe in the concept of love at first sight, because she is a very logical person, it did not stop Zoe from falling for Marco. Before they met for the first time, Zoe added that she was already aware of Marco's work as an artist since 2008.

It was in April 2013 that Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego sparked dating rumours. Paparazzi cameras at the time caught the duo leaving Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont. Based on the photographs, Zoe and Marco looked like they were driving away from the restaurant. Their outfits clearly indicated they were out on a date night. The very next month, in May 2013, the couple attended the premiere of Zoe's film, Star Trek Into Darkness. It was during the afterparty that Zoe and Marco were spotted looking cosy and locking lips. Later, a source close to the actress spilled the details of their relationship to People. They claimed that while Zoe and Marco were definitely hanging out together, “it's very new” and “nothing serious yet.”

While we do not know the exact date Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego tied the knot, reports indicate the couple married in an intimate, secret ceremony in the summer of 2013. A source close to the duo confirmed this to People in September of the same year, adding that “they are very happy” after their wedding. Surprisingly, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Zoe confessed that, prior to her marriage to Marco, she thought most of the reasons people give for marriage weren't very “natural” to her. Although she was quick to change her mind, thanks to her hubby. She said: 

“And as soon as we decided to get married, we didn't wait. We did it three weeks later. That part was very, very, quick.”

The Avatar actress and her husband, Marco Perego, attended the AOL Digital Content NewFronts event in April 2014. This event was held in Brooklyn, New York. Here, the couple walked the red carpet together, officially marking their red carpet debut as a married couple. Based on the photos from the day, Zoe Saldana looked dazzling in a blue-and-white printed gown and bright red lipstick, while her partner, Marco, looked handsome in his own right in a black pinstriped suit.

News broke in October 2014 that Zoe and Marco were expecting twin boys and that the actress is “beside herself happy over it all.” Well, the twins, Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, finally arrived on November 27, 2014, just in time for Thanksgiving. On January 2, 2015, Zoe took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share a photo of two tiny baby bottles. She captioned the post: 

"Happy #2015! Starting our #NewYear with a fullhouse. Our boys are finally here! Thank U 4 all the beautiful wishes!" 

Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego welcomed their third child in 2016 

In December 2016, Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego expanded their family once again by welcoming their third child. They named their child, a boy, Zen Anton Hilario. Zoe was the first one to announce his birth two months later. Capturing an adorable moment of her three boys together on a playmat, Zoe captioned her February 2017 post: 

"Marco and I are elated to share the news of the birth of our son Zen. We couldn't feel more blessed with the new addition to our family. #threeboys... oh boy!" 

After becoming parents to three boys, Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego's relationship is still going strong almost a decade later, in 2026.
