In recent times, the 12th Fail actress Medha Shankr has been garnering headlines and massive media attention for all the right reasons. She gained widespread fandom after the movie's release, where she essayed the role of IRS officer, Shraddha Joshi. Medha's simplicity and beauty doubled with her acting prowess, which won everyone's hearts, and she was even declared India's newest national crush. However, things haven't always been this good for the debutant. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Medha divulged deep into her life's toughest period and how she faced it all.
The year 2020 has been one of the toughest phases of everyone's life as the coronavirus grasped the entire world in its vicious claws. Like everyone else, the year was the toughest phase of Medha's life, and she shared that during that year, she didn't even have a penny in her bank account, and it was nearly impossible for her to survive in an expensive city like Mumbai.

Medha Shankr revealed that all her savings had depleted during the lockdown phase, and even mentally, she was in a very fragile state. Every day was challenging, and she had vigorous self-doubts about herself. Had her father not been living with her during that time, she wouldn't have been able to come out of the situation. She added that her father supported her financially, and she was living off his money. Medha further added:
"It's lonely, it's scary because it's so uncertain, so every single day you have to restart and then, of course, there is self-doubt. A very difficult year was 2020, because the world was falling and at the same time I was fully broke. I was living off my father's money. The only reason I could actually survive in Mumbai financially was because I was living with my dad. If it wasn't for my dad, I don't think I would have been able to survive in Mumbai financially."
In another interview, Medha was asked to name the one actor she is manifesting to work with. To this, Medha asked if she has to name only one actor, but after mulling over the question for a few seconds, she takes Ranbir Kapoor's name. We would love to see Medha opposite Ranbir Kapoor in a project, and hopefully, her manifestation will turn into reality soon.
