You should try your wedding trousseau and show it to your makeup artist; so that it becomes easier for him/her to decide on the colour palette of makeup to be used for the function. This pre-organising of your bridal-do would enable the makeup artist to prepare accordingly. This would leave no room for mistakes. Also, do let them know, whether you are going to wear a single or double dupatta style, to let them understand and prepare your bridal look depending on that.

Do not shy away from revealing what suits you and what doesn’t, especially, when it comes to choosing makeup products for your skin. Tell the artist to choose products according to your skin type, so that they don’t leave any sort of side-effects and emerge to be long-lasting. For hair, you should instruct your stylist to stick to the best brands possible too; as hair are most prone to fall if not treated sensitively.

While your makeup artist is selecting the hues of your lip and eye makeup, it becomes important for you to reveal your comfort and inhibitions. For example, if you feel you can’t don or carry off a cherry red or oxblood shade on your pout, it would be wiser to directly admit it in front of your artist. This would help you to emerge as a confident bride than just a bride!

You must also share the difference of height between you and your fiancé, so that he can decide upon the hairstyle to be made, accordingly. To be on a safer side, it is advisable to ask about your ‘makeup-time’ from the professional, so that you can reach to him/her early on your wedding day. Well, keep in mind that when beauty services are done in a hurry, they seldom emerge good. This might also create a wrong impression of the concerned artist in your mind, which is not fair for a makeup artist. So, talk to your artist about how much time will be taken to complete your bridal makeup and hairdo, and plan your salon appointment accordingly.

While getting ready for your wedding day, you also have to keep in mind that a wedding is an event with multiple-ceremonies. At times or in certain communities, a bride might have to change her attires in between different customs. For example, just after the varmala, a bride might have to change into a different outfit before the pheras start. Well, the bride might just get enough time to change her clothes, but not her makeup.
So, in order to make your bridal look emerge perfect for all the ceremonies and with all the different dresses, it is important to show all your attires to the artist. This will enable them to round upon a perfect colour of eye liner, lip shade and decide for intensity of the makeup; and implement it according to all your outfits.
