A Muslim Pony Operator Fought With Terrorists To Save Hindus, Got Killed, 'Tried To Snatch Rifle..'

The entire nation is shocked by the Pahalgam terror attack, which took place on April 22, 2025. The incident has claimed the lives of 26 innocent people, one of them being an 8-year-old kid. Apart from that, a Navy officer was also brutally assassinated in the horrifying terror attack. Reports claimed that the terrorists attacked the tourists based on their religion, and the Hindus were singled out. It was stated that two of the victims were locals. A recent report claimed that one of these two locals was a Muslim pony operator, who was killed by the terrorists while trying to save the Hindus.

Pony operator, Syed Adil Hussain Shah was killed while saving the tourists

As per reports, a local pony operator, identified as Syed Adil Hussain Shah was brutally killed by the terrorists. It was reported that Syed tried to snatch a rifle from the terrorists who were brutally assassinating the Hindu tourists who were enjoying the scenic view. Reports have been rife that the terrorists were singling out the Hindus, by checking their IDs. The survivors claimed that the terrorists asked some male tourists to remove their trousers so that they could confirm their religion by checking their private parts. Some tourists were even asked to recite Islamic verses to prove their religion, and when they failed to do so, they were shot dead. Amid this, Syed showed immense bravery by fighting the tourists.

Syed's father lamented his demise and recalled how they got to know about the same

Talking about his son's death, Syed Adil Hussain Shah's father told ANI that his son went to work in Pahalgam, and they got to know about the attack around 3 p.m. When they tried to reach out to Syed, his phone was found switched off, later, when they reached the police station, they got to know about the incident. The heartbroken father asked for justice for his son's demise, and revealed that Syed was the only earner of his family. In Syed's father's words:

"We rushed to the police station, and that's when we learned that he had been injured in the attack. My son was martyred, and he was the only earner of our family. We want justice for his death. He was an innocent man. Why was he killed? Whoever is responsible must face the consequences."

Syed Adil Hussain Shah's mother also lamented her son's demise, and revealed that her family has the only backbone in her son. She said to the New Indian Express that her son used to earn money by riding horses, and now that he was brutally killed, they have no one to support their family. On the other hand, Adil's uncle told the media portals that the former was the eldest son of his family and had a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. He also revealed that Syed was married and had kids, who also have no one to go to now. Syed's uncle could be quoted as saying:

"Adil was the eldest son in the family. He had children, a wife, and he was the backbone of this family. Now, they have lost everything. They are poor, and this tragedy has left them with no one to turn to. We appeal to the government for help. Adil's family needs protection and support now more than ever."

The Pahalgam attack took place on April 22, 2025, and a banned Pakistan-based terror group, Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the same. Reportedly, they entered Baisaran via cross-region movement, which raised concerns again. The security agencies have released the sketches of these terrorists, and the investigation is currently underway.
