Being a part of society comes with a long list of do's and don'ts that everyone is expected to follow. And if anyone defies the set rules, then that person becomes a talk-of-the-town in no time. What's devastating is the fact that the most delightful event in a human's life, marriage, is altered by some useless projections. We all have dreamt about how our better half would burst into tears of joy on seeing us walk down the aisle, dressed in the most stunning ensemble. However, it's within a fraction of seconds that all the dreams of a bride come crashing down when she realises that she is expected to abide by the beauty standards set by society.

Haven't we all been taught that beauty has no real definition? Being taught and actually implementing it, are two different things. How many of us are constantly conscious about our body weight and our physical appearance? Most of us are, aren't we? But, with passing time, brides have come in terms to accept themselves in the most graceful manner and they try not to let their confidence go low, despite the imperfect perfections. We have come across such wonderful stories of brides, who have taken over the nugatory stereotypes and have set new benchmarks for all the soon-to-be brides. Let's take a look at one such plus-size Sabyasachi bride, who chose to hold onto her dream of a perfect bridal dress.
Meet Aanchal Kulchandani, a pastry chef, who got married to the love of her life in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. She had found her prince charming in her childhood and is lucky enough to have made it to the ultimate phase of a long-term relationship. Roshan and Aanchal were family friends and were certain about wanting to start a life with each other. It so seems that they were a match-made-in-heaven, absolutely destined to be together.
Aanchal had beautifully recreated the same lehenga look that the Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone had worn on her wedding day. In an interview with Bollywoodshaadis.com, she had opened up about what had made her want to dress in a Sabyasachi outfit. Talking about her bridal dress, Aanchal said,
"I knew whenever I would get married I would wear a Sabya, in fact, our wedding date was decided in October that it would be in December, and the first person I contacted was Sabya, but they said they need a minimum of 3 months hence I postponed the wedding to February only for the Sabya lehenga. I had loved the lehenga Deepika wore at her wedding hence went for the same lehenga and recreated that look! Loved the writing on the lehenga particularly."

She donned a bright red lehenga with a beautiful peacock embroidery crafted on it with side tassels attached to the lehenga. Her blouse and dupatta had the 'sada saubhagyavati bhav' border stitched to it. She draped the dupatta sideways over her shoulder and across her body, not covering her beautiful hair-do for posing in front of the camera. Soon after that, she semi-covered her head with the embroidered dupatta and looked astonishing in her outfit for D-day.
She accentuated her red wedding lehenga look by accessorising it with a gold choker set, having light sea green stones dangling from the edges of the neckpiece, maang teeka, and the dangling earrings. Apart from this, she also wore long kaleeras and broad choodas. This jewellery set was from the collection of Satyani Jewellers, and it entirely broke the monotony of red, enhancing her outfit furthermore. Aanchal had her hair tied up with a bunch of red roses surrounding her bun. This gave her a very tidy and elegant look. She opted for subtle makeup, with detailed eyebrows and black smokey eyes.

When she was questioned about whether or not had she booked a hair and makeup artist for herself, she said, "Yes I booked Vishal Kadam and Ritika hairstylist for my wedding, however my first choice for makeup was Natasha Moor but unfortunately she was busy then I spoke to many other makeup artists because of the dates being so auspicious everyone was super booked. Hence went for Vishal Kadam, he did a great job though." Well, there is no doubt that the two of them did a fantastic job and gave the bride a lovely makeover.
Aanchal looked stunning in her bridal outfit, but she also made sure to choose the right outfit for her husband, Roshan Galani. During a conversation with her, she said that Roshan was unaware of his wedding attire and it was her, who ordered it for him. She personally handpicked his outfit from the collection of the designer, Kunal Rawal. Nevertheless, Roshan really loved his wedding outfit. He complemented Aanchal in a nice beige-coloured attire, along with the same shade safa. The two of them looked adorable and undoubtedly stole the hearts of many on the internet!
It's becoming increasingly common to see plus-size brides dressed in the most exquisite outfits that make us want to stare at their pictures. For all the right reasons, Sabyasachi is ruling the wedding fashion industry with not just Aanchal but many such brides dressing in his ensembles. Many people resonate with such brides because of the positive message that they send across.
