Pakistani Cricketer, Aamir Jamal Mourns The Loss Of His Newborn Daughter, 'I Couldn't Hold You...'

Aamir Jamal is a Pakistani cricketer, who is well-known as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. With his own talent, he has built a name for himself in international cricket. For the unversed, Aamir is also an important player for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Off the field, the cricketer and his wife went through a devastating tragedy. Recently, Aamir Jamal opened up about the same on his social media. 

Aamir Jamal lost his newly born daughter

On October 22, 2025, Pakistani cricketer, Aamir Jamal took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share the devastating news of his daughter’s passing. He shared a heart-touching picture of his little angel’s hand holding the cricketer’s finger and penned a small yet heartfelt note. In his note, he revealed that he express his grief of not being able to hold her for long. He also wished for huge heights for his angel even in heaven. His note can be read as:

"From Allah , to Allah. I couldn’t hold you longer my lil Angel. Baba & mama will miss you. May you stay on highest ranks in Heaven."

Aamir Jamal’s close ones reacted to his post

As soon as cricketer, Aamir Jamal shared the news on his X handle, a lot of his close ones expressed their sadness on the same. Some of those who offered heartfelt condolences were Mansoor Rana, Rai M. Azlan, Pranav Mahajan. Apart from them, entrepreneur, Hamza Naqvi also expressed his sadness and penned:

"Please accept my condolences. I am praying for you and your family in this difficult moment. You’re an incredible cricketer, with a big heart, and I hope to see you represent Pakistan soon."

Who is Aamir Jamal?

Amair Jamal is a 29-year-old Pakistani cricketer, who has slowly and gradually emerged as one of the most promising all-rounders in the Pakistani national team. He is well-known for his right-arm fast-medium bowling and right-handed batting. In September 2022, he made his international debut during a T20 series. Despite having a good professional life now, not many people would know that Amair Jamal once faced financial challenges and to support his family, he took a loan and worked as a taxi driver. Reportedly, the cricketer got married in 2024. 

Aamir Jamal’s cricket journey

From a young age, Aamir Jamal was into sports, and this passion led him to play for clubs including Hawkesbury Cricket Club in Sydney's Grade Cricket competition. He made his first-class debut for Pakistan Television in the 2018-19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In 2022, he played internationally against England, which further solidified his image as a cricketer. He made his Test debut in 2023 against Australia, where he reportedly took six wickets. As of now, he plays for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL.
