Aamir Khan's Wedding Budget With Reena Dutta Was Less Than Rs. 100? Co-Star Reveals New Deets

Aamir Khan was first married to Reena Dutta for 16 years before they decided to part ways. Initially, the actor had kept his wedding a secret while working on his debut film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and revealed it only after some time. Recently, Aamir Khan's Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak co-star, Shehzad Khan, sat down for an interview with Bollywood Thikana and spilled more beans about the actor's marriage with Reena Dutta. He revealed that he shares a close bond with the actor but got to know about the actor's marriage with Reena Dutta from other sources. Recalling the same, he said:

"No, we got to know about it from other sources. They had a court marriage for just Rs 50. I was supposed to be one of the witnesses, but as usual, I was late, and they had left for their respective homes after the marriage."

Shehzad Khan added that Reena Dutta came on the set of their film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, only for her shoot in the song, Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega. However, her wedding with Aamir was so secretive that no one knew about it. In his words:

"Reena came on set only for the Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak song Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega. Everyone just knew that they liked each other, but nobody knew they were married."

Aamir Khan once shared how only five people knew about his wedding with Reena Dutta

Some time ago, Aamir Khan's old interview from 1988 surfaced on Reddit. During his conversation, the actor shared that when he got married to Reena Dutta on April 18, 1986, only five people knew about his wedding. Among those, three people were there to act as witnesses, while 2 were his friends. Recalling why he kept his wedding a secret, he said:

"Yeh shadi ke bare mei sirf 5 log jante thei., Mera matlab hai mei aur Reena ke alava 5 log. 3 joh gawah thei aur 2 aur mere dost. Mere father, Reena ke parents koi nai janta tha meri shadi hui hai. Aur November 1986 mei sabko pata lag chuka tha, family mei. Toh uss time daddy ne yeh kaha tha ki aur Reena ke parents joh mere in laws hai ki yeh shadi announce na kare. Film release hoh jaye.”
