Aarya Babbar Shares Babbars' Aren't Invited To Prateik Babbar's Wedding, 'Someone Is Influencing...'

Prateik Babbar is one of the most well-known actors in Bollywood, admired for his versatile roles and his unfiltered nature. He is the son of late actress, Smita Patil and Raj Babbar. The actor had recently hit healdines after some news reports confirmed that Prateik is set to tie the knot with his longtime fiancée, Priya Banerjee on February 14, 2025. Fans were excited to know about the new wedding in the Babbar family. However, in a surprising revelation, Raj Babbar’s other son, Aarya Babbar revealed that they are not invited to Prateik Babbar's wedding. 

Aarya Babbar can't understand why Prateik Babbar's didn't invite them at his wedding 

Aarya Babbar who shares cordial bond with Prateik Babbar expressed his surprise at not being invited to the latter's wedding. In a recent interview with the Times Of India, Aarya shared that not just him but even the other members of his family are not invited to Prateik Babbar's wedding with actress, Priya Banerjee. He admitted that he can't understand why the actor doesn't want to maintain a bond with them, but believes that someone might have influenced Prateik's mind. In his words: 

“We are not invited as a family. Babbars are not invited. I really believe we are still close. I am not understanding how this has happened. I presume someone has overpowered his brain too much.”

Aarya added that Prateik doesn't intend to connect with anyone from their father, Raj Babbar’s side of the family. At the same time he doesn't want to call them. However, Aarya feels that would be certain reason behind it. He revealed that although his mother and Raj Babbar's first’s wife, Nadira eased the bond between everyone, he can understand that the Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na actor might not want to invite her. But, he is shocked that even their father is not on the guest list. Aarya revealed: 

“I give him this benefit of doubt. My mother is the one who made this dysfunctional family into a functional one. Even if you don't wish to call my mother, at least dad should have been called. Life is not less than a film; someone in the house is influencing him. I don't want to think it is Prateik, and I don't think he is like that.”

Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee are set to tie knot soon 

Parteik Babbar was previously married to Sanya Sagar. But the couple parted ways, and Prateik began dating actress, Priya Banerjee. The couple made their relationship insta-official by sharing pictures in 2023 and engaged in November of the same year. A recent news report in the Times Of India suggested that the couple will tie the knot on February 14, 2025, in a private ceremony. Sources reveal that the ceremony will occur at Prateik's home in Bandra, Mumbai, while the couple's close friends and family members will attend.

Later, he left his first wife and married actress, Smita Patil. However, she passed away at the age of 31 due to childbirth complications after giving birth to Prateik Babbar, who then grew up with his maternal grandparents. On the other hand, Raj Babbar reconciled with Nadira and had a strained bond with Prateik until he grew up. Prateik made his debut with Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na and soon gained limelight with his roles in films like Dum Maaro Dum, Baaghi 2, Chhichhore and Mumbai Saga among others.
