Aasif Sheikh's friendship with Salman Khan goes back to the '90s. They have often worked together in many movies over the years, partied together, and landed in trouble together. Recently, in an interview with Lallantop, Aasif shared hilarious anecdotes of shooting with him and how he has a record of rash driving.
When the interviewer asked Aasif Sheikh about his bond with Salman, he shared some anecdotes about working with him. Aasif revealed that once his friend brought a brand new car to show him, Salman jumped in and said that he would drive the car. The Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain fame actor revealed how Salman drove rashly over a mountain and a river, making them fear for their lives.
Sharing another incident, Aasif shared that they were shooting for another film, Bandhan, which was released in 1998. He shared that Salman had an Esteem car, and he made him sit next to him and started driving on the footpath everywhere. Recalling his reaction, Aasif said:
"Mai ne kaha, 'Salman, pakde jayenge'. Kehta ‘Pakde jayenge toh yaar Salman Khan hain ghabrao mat. Aage pakad liya traffic wale na, usne genuinely nahi pechana us time, vo kehta hai, 'Isne toh pehchana nahi'. Mai ne kaha, 'Shirt utar shayad pehchaan le.'"
It was September of 2002 when Salman Khan was arrested in the case of rash and negligent driving after his car ran into a bakery in Mumbai. The incident killed one, who was sleeping on the pavement outside the bakery, and three were brutally injured. While initially the charges of the case were laid against the actor, later it was dropped as the driver admitted that it was him who was driving the car.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha shared that the film was amazing and the best David Dhawan had made. She added that Salman Khan looked amazing in the film, but it flopped due to his hit-and-run case in the same year.
