Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are among the most loved couples in the television industry. Currently, they are on cloud nine as they embraced parenthood on the auspicious day of Gurupurab this year, i.e., on November 27, 2023, with the birth of their twin daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva. Although Rubina and Abhinav kept the news under wraps for one long month, it was on the kids' one-month birthday that they announced the same to the entire world. Now, they opened up about some more cutesy anecdotes related to their princess' lives.
In a candid conversation with ETimes, Abhinav Shukla was heard revealing some unknown facts about his new parenthood journey. He mentioned that his twin daughters are non-identical, and it's been only a month since they entered into his and his wife, Rubina Dilaik's world. Mentioning that his daughters are Laxmi maa's blessing on him, Abhinav said:
“We welcomed our two daughters on November 27. They are non-identical twins. We are ecstatic and have named our beautiful girls Edhaa and Jeeva. This is Laxmi maa’s blessing… our lives are filled with joy.”

In the same conversation, the doting parents were also asked about the real reason behind why they took some time to share the good news. To this, Abhinav shared that since he and Rubina wanted to ensure good health for their kids, they chose to keep the news under the wraps for quite some time. However, as Edhaa and Jeeva are perfectly fine, they teased their fans with cutesy glimpses of their little bundles of joy. He mentioned:
“Our priority was their health. I wanted to ensure that the mother and children are healthy and, by God’s grace, they are fine. But our friends and fans have been wanting to know about it, so we finally decided to share this happy news with everyone.”
Afterwards, Abhinav and Rubina were asked to share more on how Abhinav and Rubina's lives have changed overnight. To this, Rubina mentioned that the post-delivery transformation has already begun and added that she has been blessed with two angels in her life. Thus, she feels truly blessed. On the other hand, the doting father mentioned that now he spends an ample amount of time to be part of his little one's growing period, and said:
"I spend hours looking at their reactions, I can’t explain how it feels. Our babies are cute and quirky. They have different personalities already. They are adorable."

On December 27, 2023, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla collaboratively took to their Instagram handles and shared the first-ever glimpse of their twin daughters. In the pictures, Rubina wore a light blue-hued suit with gold earrings and subtle makeup. On the other hand, Abhinav opted for a dual-toned kurta. The couple held their daughters in their arms while posing for the camera and looked extremely elated to announce the good news with their massive fan base. They also performed a havan puja at their home, and alongside the pictures, they penned a note to reveal the unique names of their daughters. They named the twin kids, Edhaa and Jeeva.
