Abhishek Bachchan is an actor and film producer who made his Bollywood debut with the drama film, Refugee in 2000. The actor has been on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list for four consecutive years, from 2012 to 2016. Some of his most lauded works include Sarkar, Guru, Yuba, and Dasvi.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are proud and loving parents to their 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Recently, the actor sat for a candid conversation with CNBC-TV18 and spoke about parenting their little one. He drew a comparison between the attitudes of the younger and older generations and admitted how his daughter's generation doesn't have a sense of hierarchy. The actor further explained the same and stated:
"To start with, they have no sense of hierarchy like we did. In the case of our generation, if your parents said something, you just listened to it. The younger generation is far more inquisitive. They want to know why; they’re not just going to do something because their parents have said it."
Abhishek pointed out how the younger generation doesn't believe that someone being older necessarily means that they have all the right answers. He humorously added that this generation of children have Google and are not reliant on their parents for every answer. He further added that, according to him, the only thing children ask of their parents these days is love.
In the same conversation, Abhishek continued to share the containing nature of the two generations. He noted that while his generation used to turn to their parents for wisdom and experience, the younger generation is more self-reliant. He added that the youth has everything under their control and seeks justification for everything, which he described as 'wonderful.'
Abhishek Bachchan continued and shared that he already had an idea of what to expect from his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. He shared that he had seen his niece and nephew, Navya Naveli Nanda, and Agastya Nanda growing up, which gave him a rough idea. Talking about his sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda's children, the actor stated:
