Prahlad Kakar sat for an interview with Vickey Lalwani, in which he revealed that people had been speculating about Aishwarya and Abhishek's divorce, and one of the reasons was that the actress often visits her mother's home. Prahlad, who resides near Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's mother's building, mentioned that the actress often visits her mother's house. Prahlad mentioned that Brinda Rai hasn't been keeping well with her health, and for the same reason, the actress often comes to her mom's house to pay a visit. Prahald shared that Aishwarya drops her daughter off at school and picks her up, and in her spare time, she meets her mom to spend quality time together.

In the same interview, Prahald Kakar was asked whether the buzz about Aishwarya's strained relationship with Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan was true. The actress's neighbour mentioned that she is still the bahu of the Bachchan household and continues to run the house. Prahald also mentioned that he knows there's no truth to it, and as people said that she was escaping her marriage and staying with her mom, those speculations were also unfounded. Prahald could be quoted as saying:

"So what? She is the bahu of the house and she still runs the house. I knew there was no truth in it. Because I knew why she was there. People were saying she was escaping from her marriage and living with her mother. She wasn’t living with her mother. She was just coming and spending time with her while her daughter was at school. And she didn’t come on Sundays."

During the interview, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's neighbour shared that he knows the actress's concern for her mother. Prahald mentioned that Abhishek also often visits Aishwarya's mother's home and pays her a visit. Prahald stated that if there was anything like divorce, then why would the actor come and pay a visit to the actress's mom's home? He also stated that the only reason Abhishek and Aishwarya haven't commented on this matter is that there was no truth in it. Mentioning how Aishwarya keeps up with her dignity, Prahald said:

"I knew her concerns for her mother. Sometimes, Abhishek also came with her to visit her mother. Why would he come if there was anything like this? If you notice, neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have given a comment on this. Why should they? Tum Bhaukte raho. She has always kept her dignity and journalists hated her for that."

The same report also claimed that Aishwarya was living in a different place in Jalsa, and she was not on talking terms with Jaya Bachcha. Following this, several other buzzes have occurred due to Abhishek liking a post on 'grey' divorce, working with Nimrat Kaur, and others. However, the couple never discussed such speculations around them and kept dismissing them with only their joint public appearances.
