The deadly Coronavirus has been taking a toll on us. Taking away all our special moments, it has left us scared and helpless. With every passing day, a sense of fear has been loitering in our minds and we couldn’t help but pray for our dear ones, who has been fighting with this deadly virus. It was on July 11, 2020, when the news of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan being tested positive for COVID-19 had flashed the news feeds. The father-son duo was taken to the hospital immediately, and a day later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan had also tested positive. After staying in the hospital for 10 days, on July 27, 2020, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan had recovered from COVID-19 as they were tested negative and were discharged from the hospital. On August 2, 2020, Amitabh Bachchan had tested COVID-19 negative. He was discharged from the hospital and is in solitary quarantine at his home in Jalsa whereas Abhishek is still in hospital.
On August 4, 2020, Abhishek Bachchan took to his IG handle and shared a view from his isolation room in the hospital. Along with the picture, he channeled his positive attitude and wrote, “The colours of nature never fail to impress. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife." While his fans and well-wishers commented for his speedy recovery, his sister, Shweta Nanda Bachchan wrote, “You. Hang in there.”
On July 31, 2020, Abhishek had shared a picture of the isolation ward of the Nanavati hospital where is currently being treated. He had taken to his IG handle and had posted a picture of the hospital corridor and had written, "Light at the end of the tunnel! #latenightwalks." On Raksha Bandhan, i.e., August 3, 2020, Shweta Nanda Bachchan was missing her brother, Abhishek. She had taken to her IG handle and had shared a monochrome picture of him and had written, “Couldn’t have asked for a better brother, or devoted sidekick, love you - (Been soo long I’m even missing your lectures) Get well, Get back home!”
On August 2, 2020, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his Twitter handle and had shared the news of being discharged from the hospital. He had written, “I have tested COVID-19 negative, have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the almighty, blessings of Ma, Babuji, prayers and duas of near and dear and friends, fans EF... and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day.”

Abhishek Bachchan too had shared the news of his father’s negative reports and had given an update about his health. He had written, “I, unfortunately, due to some comorbidities remain COVID-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I'll beat this and come back healthier! Promise.”
When Aishwarya and Aaradhya were discharged from the hospital, Amit ji was overwhelmed with emotions and had expressed his happiness over the same on his social media handles. Sharing a picture of Aishwarya and Aaradhya, Amit ji had written, “Apni chhoti bitiya aur bahurani ko aspatal se mukti milne par, main rok na paaya apne aansoo. Prabhu teri kripa apaar, aprampaar.”
Abhishek Bachchan too had expressed his happiness on the same and had shared the news on his Twitter handle. Thanking everyone for their good wishes and prayers, Abhishek had written, “Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home.
