Bollywood actor, Abhishek Bachchan is one of the most popular actors of his generation. As February 5, 2024, marked his 48th birthday, he got beautiful wishes from his loved ones. However, Abhishek doesn’t look at birthdays with the same enthusiasm anymore. The actor, who is married to Aishwarya Rai, celebrates his birthday only for his 12-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, who is the star of the Bachchan family.
In an interview with Times Now, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about birthday plans and shared that he prefers to spend the day working. The actor added that he is no more enthusiastic about his birthdays, but his daughter, Aaradhya is. He mentioned that though he likes to spend his birthday with his family, he wishes to continue working every year. In his words:
"It is for Aaradhya that the day becomes special. Otherwise, I like my birthdays to be work days. There is no better way to bring in one's birthday than with work. I like to spend my birthday with my family if I can. But it wouldn't be a happy birthday for me if I'm not working. Every year since I started my career in 1998 I've made sure that I'm shooting. The only year I missed shooting on my birthday was the year when I was in New York promoting Delhi 6. I hope to continue working on all my birthdays."

Further in the interview, Abhishek spoke about Aaradhya and called her a wonderful child. The doting father mentioned that Aaradhya is the centre of their universe and credited his wife, Aishwarya, for being a terrific mother. Sharing how fatherhood has completely changed his outlook on life, Abhishek said:
"Aaradhya is the centre of our universe. She's a wonderful child. All credit to Aishwarya for being a terrific mother. Fatherhood has completely changed my outlook on life. Bringing a child into the world changes all your priorities. I am sure every parent would agree."
When asked about the most memorable birthday of his life, Abhishek shared that it was not his own but his father, Amitabh's 60th birthday. He added that he is his father's biggest fan and refuses to believe anyone can be better than him. Lauding Amitabh's unmatchable legacy, Abhishek shared that he realised the reality of acting after watching his father and added:
"It was a memorable occasion. My mother's book on my father was released, which, of course, was wonderful. But the occasion was momentous because we were celebrating a life that has achieved so much. Besides being his son, I'm his biggest fan. I refuse to believe anyone can be better than him. Here's Mr Amitabh Bachchan who in my eyes is the greatest human being on earth, not to mention the biggest star and actor on the planet and one of our living icons. Just watching him at work is revealing. By watching him, I've realised acting is. When you see him do a shot you immediately know there's no way you can be as good as him."

"I don't regret doing any of the films I've done. I've always worked from my heart. That works for me. Very soon, I hope. I really enjoy working with her. We get a lot of fan mail asking us to be together again on screen. We'd be more than glad to get together."
