Bollywood actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had tied the knot on April 14, 2022, in an intimate wedding ceremony at his Mumbai home, Vastu. And just within a month of their marriage, Ranbir was spotted playing a match with other big names from the industry, including Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan, on behalf of the All-Stars Football Club. For the unversed, ASFC is founded by filmmaker Bunty Walia, and also have Shoojit Sircar, Dino Morea, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhimanyu Dassani, Karan Wahi, Shashank Khaitan, Shabir Ahluwalia, and Samir Kochhar among others.
Abishek Bachchan is the captain, and Ranbir Kapoor is the vice-captain of All-Stars Football Club (ASFC). They had played a match against Emirates United at the Celebrity Football Cup 2022 in Dubai on Saturday, May 7. In a few pictures and videos which made their way to the internet, the newlywed actor was seen playing like a pro on the field.

Recently, in a conversation with the Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his happiness to be part of his club's 10th anniversary and mentioned that it is one of the most important things of his life. He was heard saying, "We are really happy to be here. This also happens to be ASFC's 10th-year anniversary. This is probably the most, one of the most important things that I have been a part of. The kind of friends I made, the kind of teammates, the brotherhood we have had." Soon his teammate and good friend in the B-town, Abhishek Bachchan interrupted the newly-married actor and teased him for the same. Abhishek said:
"Which is so touching considering he just got married."
Further, in the conversation, Abhishek pointed to a unique tradition that he and his teammates have been following for ages and asked Ranbir to disclose that by saying, "It's a special match for all of us because it's Ranbir's first match after becoming spoken for. And we have certain traditions in our team for newlyweds which we will be fulfilling today." In response to the team's caption, Ranbir laughingly shared that they would put him in front of the goal and he has to kick a considerable number of balls at them. Then, talking about the same, Ranbir mentioned:
"Basically they are going to put me in front of the goal, and I am going to kick lots of balls at them."

Abhishek was also asked for some friendly suggestions for the newly-married couple, Ranbir and Alia. To this, Abhishek mentioned Ranbir and Alia's respect for each other and added that it would be enough for a happy marriage. Then, talking about the same, he said:
"He doesn't need it. He decided to get married, she decided to marry him because they are in love with each other and that's the only thing that matters. They respect each other, and that's it."
