In an interview with ETimes, Abhishek Malik talked about how he met his wife, Suhani Choudhary and said, “When I exchanged numbers with Suhani, I thought that this will never work, because she was in Delhi and I was in Mumbai. But with the lockdown happening and me going back to my hometown in Delhi things progressed between us. I told Suhani that I wanted a serious relationship and incidentally she too wanted the same thing. I met her family members for the first time on the day our roka ceremony happened and now we are one big happy family."
Sharing that Suhani’s parents were impressed by his profession and were looking for someone like him, Abhishek added, “My in-laws told me that they had seen me on television and giving interviews. They never wanted someone who had a 9 to 5 job because Suhani, being a part of the fashion industry wanted someone who's capable of adjusting with the kind of work she is into. Since I am a part of the entertainment industry, they knew that I would support her and understand her schedules as well.”

Abhishek also shared that however they had an instant roka ceremony, their families had given them a time of nine months to know each other better. He added, “Even though our roka happened soon after we met in Delhi, our families gave us time of almost nine months to understand each other better and decide what we really want.”
To enjoy his wedding, Abhishek Malik had taken a break from his work schedule. Talking about how getting married in real life is different from on-screen weddings, he said, “I wanted to thorougly enjoy my marriage. Even though I have gotten married several times on screen but getting married in real life to the one you love, is magical. When we get married on screen the director says cut and after that we go home alone, but in this case I came back with a wife in real life!”
Abhishek also mentioned that the feeling of having a wife is still sinking in. He added, “The feeling of having a wife is still sinking in but Suhani and I have a great chemistry. Her family members and mine are very particular about details and thus all the ceremonies were just fabulously arranged." Sharing his work and honeymoon plans, Abhishek concluded, “I am currently in Delhi and after I am back from my honeymoon I will resume working. Depending upon work my wife and I will travel to Mumbai."
Congratulations to Abhishek and Suhani!
