Since the past few days, there were rumours rife that Amitabh Bachchan is sick and is hospitalised, however, there was no confirmation, and everyone was speculating on the same. Abhishek Bachchan is one of the coolest and most grounded celebrities in Bollywood, and the way he deals with trolls and rumours is just commendable. We've seen numerous instances wherein, Junior B had given it back in style, be it trolls trying to target him from the nepotism angle or baseless rumours about his personal life. And we love Abhishek Bachchan for never losing his cool and being at his chivalrous and witty best in such situations!
There were unclear reports about Amitabh Bachchan getting hospitalised since Saturday (October 25, 2020,) after having suffered an injury. Although, there was no confirmation from either Big B himself or from any other member of his family. According to Pinkvilla, Big B's son, Abhishek Bachchan has quashed all such reports and confirmed that his father is perfectly fine and is doing well. He also hilariously added that it must be Amitabh Bachchan's duplicate who is at the hospital. He also expressed his surprise at how such rumours started in the first place when his father is sitting right in front of him. Amitabh Bachchan himself has also confirmed that he is completely fine.
On October 2, 2020, a Twitterati had accused Abhishek Bachchan on having a career because he has a famous father and had written, "@juniorbachchan hey product of nepotism, if u r doing struggle then i wish god gives struggle like u to every individual. Me n my wife Sneha hv been doing youtube for a while but this different from ur big banner films also. Bcz i do it on my own nd dont ask my father to refer." Schooling the troll, Abhishek had tweeted, "You are ill informed, immature and naive. Stop believing incorrect and bogus narratives. Think! Please, for your wife's and family's sake." When Abhishek had expressed his excitement on the reopening of cinemas in October, a Twitterati had called him "jobless". To which, Abhishek had replied, "That, alas, is in your (the audiences) hand. If you don't like our work, we won't get our next job. So we work to the best of our abilities and hope and pray for the best." When Amitabh Bachchan was admitted in hospital along with Abhishek Bachchan after testing positive for COVID-19, a Twitter user had asked Abhishek, "Your father admitted in hospital... Ab kiske bharose baith ke khaoge?" To this, he had immediately replied, "Filhaal toh let ke kha rahe hain dono ek sath hospital mein." Soon, the user had tweeted, "Get well soon sir... Har kisi ki kismat me let ke khana kaha..." On this, Abhishek had written, "I pray that you are never in a situation like ours and that you remain safe and healthy. Thank you for your wishes, ma'am."
In an interview with The Indian Express, Amitabh Bachchan had talked about his relationship with his son, Abhishek Bachchan and had shared that they are like friends. The superstar had stated that he had decided that the moment Abhishek starts borrowing his shoes, he would become his friend.
