Popular actor, Sushant Singh Rajput left a huge void in the film industry when he left the mortal plane on June 14, 2020. For the unversed, Sushant tragically passed away by suicide. Thus, ever since his demise, his apartment at Mount Blanc in Bandra, Mumbai was vacant. Finally, it was in 2023 when The Kerala Story fame, Adah Sharma was spotted outside the late actor's house. Earlier, it was reported that Adah was buying the flat, but later reports confirmed that the actress would rent the place for a whopping amount of Rs. 4.5 lakh per month.
For the uninitiated, Sushant Singh Rajput's apartment is a duplex that spans over 3,600 sq ft. It has a huge hall sprawling across the lower floor and three bedrooms on the above floor. Now, in an interview with Bombay Times, Adah Sharma opened up about moving to Sushant Singh Rajput’s house in Mumbai on rent for five years. She revealed that she moved into the house four months back, but it was only a while back when she finally got the time to settle in. Adah said.

“I moved into the flat (Mont Blanc Apartments, Bandra) four months ago, but I was busy promoting my projects, including Bastar and the OTT release of The Kerala Story. After that, I spent some time at the elephant sanctuary in Mathura. It’s only recently that I got some time off and have finally settled in.”

In the same conversation, Adah explained that it was the first time she moved out of the same house in Pali Hill, Bandra, wherein she was living her whole life. Thus, she has been extremely sensitive to good vibes and Sushant's apartment gave her a sense of positivity in the atmosphere. She added:
“I have lived in the same house at Pali Hill (Bandra) all my life and this is the first time I’ve moved out of there. I’m very sensitive to vibes, and this place (Sushant Singh Rajput’s apartment) gives me positive ones. Our homes in Kerala and Mumbai have been surrounded by trees and we used to feed birds and squirrels. So, I wanted a home with a view and ample space to feed birds.”
Well, many people tried to scare her when she thought of shifting to the apartment owned by Sushant, reportedly due to the superstitions related to his death. However, Adah revealed that she never doubted about moving into the place. Moreover, citing an example of how people also once discouraged her from working on films, including 1920 and The Kerala Story, Adah mentioned that she always followed her intuition and not other people’s opinions.

Adah has rented the apartment for five years, and has also given a makeover to the place. She painted the walls of the entire place white, and if reports are to be believed, the lower floor has been converted into a mandir, one room on the above floor has been made into a music room, and another one turned into a dance studio while the terrace is converted into a garden.

Earlier, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Adah was quizzed about the comments that were made on Sushant after the news of his apartment being sold came out. The actress expressed her utmost shock and mentioned that she didn't support those comments. Moreover, she mentioned how she would like to contribute to preserving everything where Sushant was paid due respect. Further, explaining her point, Adah stated:
"I don’t stand for that. He is an actor who I have great respect for so I would like to put everything where he has his respect. I don’t appreciate people making casual comments... I didn’t find it acceptable. I read some comments about him. I mean, you can criticize me, but please refrain from criticizing someone who isn’t here or doesn’t have a voice. I will share details about where I live materially in due time, but right now, I am residing in the hearts of millions of people, rent-free.”
We hope to get some inside glimpses of Adah Sharma's newly decorated space, which was previously Sushant Singh Rajput's apartment.
