Adhyayan Suman, son of veteran actor, Shekhar Suman, rose to prominence with the 2009 film, Raaz-The Mystery Continues. The star kid made his big screen debut in 2008, with the film, Haal-E-Dil. However, even after a promising start, Adhyayan wouldn’t hold his grip on the industry. In a recent interview, Adhyayan spoke his heart out about the challenges he faced in the industry and opened up about nepotism. He also shared his disappointments of not doing well in life.
In a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Adhyayan spoke his heart out and shared how due to nepotism, he didn’t get any work in the industry. He also shared that nepotism is a pointless debate and has become a fashion nowadays. Sharing his struggles in the industry, Adhyayan shared:
"I can say I am the best example of nepotism, jisko kaam nahi mila nepotism ki wajah se, or I can prove that. And you know, I feel nepotism is a very futile debate, and I think it became a sort of fashion conversation."
Further in the interview, Adhyayan also shared his disappointment of not doing well in life. He expressed that luxury is nothing but a jail to him. He also spoke about the constant pressure of doing something in life. Sharing his stress, Adhyayan said:
"Luxury feels like jail at one point in your life, no matter how many cars that your father gives you, or the house or the penthouses that you live in or the vacations that you go to, people like me with a conscience to do something in life are miserable."
The star kid also shared his disappointment of not owning a home of his own, even at the age of 37. He shared that after reaching a certain point in life, owning a car or house doesn’t truly make a person feel like having ownership. Addressing the same, he said:
"Because what you do beyond the point, I mean, you’ve owned the car, you’ve owned the house, it’s not yours, it’s your father’s, it’s his hard work, you’ve enjoyed it. But beyond the point, you feel like mera kya hai, at 37, I don’t own a home."
Adhyayan Suman was born in Mumbai to veteran actor, Shekhar Suman and Alka Suman. The couple had two sons, Aayush and Adhyayan. In 1994, the Suman family lost Aayush. In 2008, Adhyayan made his silver screen debut with the film, Haal-E-Dil. He rose to fame with the film, Raaz-The Mystery Continues in 2009. But even after a promising start in his acting career, he couldn’t make his place in Bollywood.

His father, Shekhar once publicly addressed that Adhyayan went through a tough phase, fighting depression. He also shared about his son’s suicidal thoughts as the Bollywood industry created a lot of hurdles for the star kid. Adhyayan reportedly dated Splitsvilla 11 fame, Maera Mishra and the duo broke up on March 11, 2021. He also dated Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut, but later the couple had an ugly breakup.
