Aditi Rao Hydari Left Siddharth 'Appalled' By Refusing To Let Him Be A Stay-At-Home Cat And Dog Dad

Siddharth revealed that Aditi Rao Hydari shot down his idea to be a stay-at-home dad

Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari sat for a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India and opened up about their early interactions. These included conversations about their future together, which reminded Siddharth of the time when Aditi shot down his idea. During the show, Siddharth also shared that if he were to stop receiving offers from the film industry, it would still not affect him much. 

Siddharth also recalled his proposal to become a stay-at-home cat and dog dad while his wife, Aditi, continued to work and earn. He revealed that Aditi outright rejected his idea, to which Siddharth quipped, "As a feminist, I was appalled." He added that now they have to worry about the longevity of his career. However, he is content and secure in his life, and if, in the near future, no one makes a film with him, he will still be okay. He was quoted saying:

"So now we have to worry about the longevity of my career. Having said that, I'm very content and secure. If you tell me tomorrow that nobody is ever going to make a film with me again, I won't lose sleep over it."

In the same conversation, Aditi Rao Hydari opened up about her bond with her husband, Siddharth. She shared that she can talk to him about numerous things. She revealed that her brain is differently wired, and while she would do a film if she were able to picture herself in it, talking to her husband helps her see things from a different perspective.

"I can speak to him about many things. My brain is kind of wired differently. I may visualise myself in a certain story and decide to do it, but it really helps when I speak to him. He comes at it from another point of view. Also, his brain works like a director’s. So, he sees things differently. He sometimes asks me questions, which is important for me to ask myself. He will never answer them for me. I value that."
