The actress eagerly awaits what 2025 has in store for her as she took to her Instagram handle with the video manifesting a 'kind' year. The clip included several highlights of Aditi's 2024, and among the mix, we spotted the cutest unseen picture from her and Siddharth's heartwarming proposal!
On January 1, 2024, Aditi Rao Hydari took to her Instagram handle with a video ushering in the new year as she bid farewell to 2024 with gratitude. The clip was a montage of the highlights of Aditi's year and included several glimpses of her professional journey, including BTS shots from her popular Netflix drama, Heeramandi. Of course, her now-hubby, Siddharth was frequently featured in the video as it contained pictures and little clips of them from their two wedding ceremonies and other moments they spent together.
However, what especially caught the eyes of their fans was the adorable pictures of Siddharth on one knee as he asked Aditi for her hand in marriage. Aditi's caption for the adorable montage expressed gratitude for the previous, positive hopes for the new year, as well as heartfelt wishes for fans as it read:
"Thank you 2024. Welcome 2025-be kind. Happy new year."
Aditi had gushed about Siddharth's heartfelt and meaningful proposal in an earlier interview with Vogue. The actress revealed that before the actual proposal, Siddharth often went down on his knees and pretended to tie his shoelace. So, when he actually proposed to her, she couldn't believe it. Talking about her proposal, Aditi added:
"He got down on his knee, and I asked him, 'Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?' He kept saying, 'Addu, listen to me'. And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother's blessings."
Aditi elaborated that Siddharth asked her to take him to her grandmother's school, which could be considered the place where she grew up because she was extremely close to her nani. After visiting the school, Siddharth went down on one knee and proposed to her. He did it at the school as he knew how close Aditi was to her grandma. Aditi further added:

"I was closest to my nani, who passed away a few years ago. She started a school in Hyderabad. One day, Siddharth asked me if he could see it, knowing full well how close I had been to her."
Earlier, Aditi Rao Hydari appeared for Day 3 of Sahitya AajTak 2024 as part of Heeramandi Ke Sitare session. During the same, the actress opened up about barely making any plans for her wedding, as she and Siddharth had merely followed their hearts. Speaking about the intimate ceremony that took place amidst people who 'truly blessed' the couple, Aditi said that they didn't plan much as it was something they truly wanted to do.
Aditi revealed that the temple where they tied the knot had been in their family for 400 years as her ancestors built it. The location, thus, held immense significance for her family and her. She further noted that tying the knot there had made her feel even closer to her nana and nani with whom she shared a special bond. She added that the ceremony had been an intimate one with just the couple's families and cousins in attendance.
