Ranjan Pancholi, popularly known as Aditya Pancholi hails from the family of directors and producers. His family owned the largest film studio, Pancholi Arts in pre-partition Lahore. Aditya Pancholi made his acting debut in 1985 with the television serial, Shahadat. However, he gained prominence when he appeared in a supporting role in Feroz Khan’s Dayavaan in 1988.
Since then, he has appeared in many pivotal roles in films like Qatil, Mohabat Ka Paigam, Bap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri, Sailaab, Yes Boss, Hameshaa, Baaghi, Jung, Aankhen, Rush, Mumbai Mirror, Race 2, Jai Ho, Hero, Bajirao Mastani and few others. More than his professional life, it was Aditya’s personal life that gained a lot of attention.
Aditya Pancholi is married to yesteryear actress, Zarina Wahab, and the duo is parents to two kids, Sooraj Pancholi and Sana Pancholi. Despite his marital status, the actor’s name has cropped up with many leading ladies of Bollywood. Out of all the names, the actor’s relationship with Kangana Ranaut has garnered a lot of attention. It went to the extent that he was accused of physical violence by Kangana. Let us read on to know more about it.
When Kangana Ranaut stepped into the glamour world, her relationship with Aditya Pancholi was the talk of the town. Despite being a married man, he fell in love with Kangana, and they started living together. In a 2008 interview with Mumbai Mirror, Aditya revealed giving her Rs. 55 lakh cash as she wanted to buy a house.
The actor also talked about his first meeting with Kangana Ranaut and called their relationship as good as a husband and wife. Sharing details of the same, he said:

“We were as good as husband and wife. I was actually building a house for both of us on Yari Road. We lived together for three years at a friends' place. Kangana didn't have a penny when I met her. I saw her for the first time on the road. It was pouring. Suddenly, she came up and said a warm 'hi' to me. When she said she was 'Kangana', I remembered a mutual friend had asked me to help her when she reached Mumbai. After that Kangana started calling me up persistently until I agreed to meet her. Initially she was a sweet small town girl. I fell in love with her.”
In the same interview, Aditya Pancholi revealed how Kangana ditched him during the shooting of Shakalaka Boom Boom as he found flirtatious messages in her inbox. The actor recalled hitting her and said:
“I read her sent messages to another actor, while she was asleep. Her messages were certainly not innocent. And I remembered that the words she used for this actor were also used by her when she had called me from South Africa. That was the first time I hit her. We fought and made up."
Kangana Ranaut has talked about her traumatic relationship with Aditya Pancholi and openly revealed almost everything she suffered as a teenager stuck in an abusive relationship. Kangana also revealed bleeding profusely after being hit by Aditya when she was 17. She tried to escape from him, while he stalked her wherever she went. Kangana once revealed how she thought, Aditya’s wife would be able to rescue her from him and offer her help. But to her utter dismay, Zarina not only refused to help but also disbelieved the very fact that Aditya and Kangana were romantically involved.
