Aditya Pancholi's Dig At Anil Kapoor, Reveals Being Replaced In Tezaab, 'Politics Runs Deeper...'

From the songs, storyline, and climax to the lead pair’s chemistry, everything was perfect. But did you know, Aditya Pancholi was the first choice for the film? Yes, the actor was replaced, and in his later X post, Pancholi reveals the same.

Aditya Pancholi takes a jibe at Anil Kapoor

Aditya Pancholi recently set the internet abuzz with his claims. The actor revealed that he was the original choice for the role of ‘Munna’ in N. Chandra’s film, Tezaab. Sharing a throwback picture of himself, Aditya penned his emotions while taking an indirect jibe at Anil Kapoor. His note can be read as:

“I was the original choice for Tezaab (1988), opposite @MadhuriDixit. Director N. Chandra, still very much around, can confirm this. Unfortunately, an actor, through his elder brother (who remains active in the industry), influenced the director to replace me. The rest, as they say, is history."

In the same post, Aditya also pointed out the debate over nepotism and stated that politics in the film industry is far bigger than it. In his words:

“Recently, I saw an actor speak about nepotism while promoting his new release. Let me say this clearly: Politics in the film industry runs deeper than nepotism. Favouritism, manipulation, and power games shape careers more than family ties ever could."

Social media users react to Aditya Pancholi’s claims

As soon as Aditya Pancholi revealed he was replaced in Tezaab, netizens connected the dots and said it was a direct dig at Anil Kapoor and his elder brother, Boney Kapoor. One of the users mentioned, “The actor you meant has always lobbied for roles and has been known to edit out other actors' parts if they were better than his. He didn't want Naseer sahab in Parinda. This is just one example of how insecure he has been throughout his career.”

Another user revealed that it was Anil’s karma that kept his son, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, from becoming an established star. The user wrote, “It was for sure referring to @AnilKapoor as it did not surprise. Anyway, Karma did not forget his address and not even a single cinegoer remembered that his son was an actor.”
