Dalljiet Kaur’s troubled second marriage with Kenya-based businessman, Nikhil Patel came to the forefront after the actress flew down with her son, Jaydon, to India within a few months of their marriage. Thereafter, through repeated social media posts, she made it clear how Nikhil has chosen to non-identify their marriage, and even hinted at his extramarital affair ending their relationship. Moreover, Dalljiet recently chose to take a legal recourse and issued a stay order against her ex-husband, that barred him from throwing her and her son’s belongings left in their shared home in Kenya.
In a surprising turn of events, Dalljiet Kaur’s estranged husband, Nikhil Patel offered a reaction to the former issuing a stay order against him. The entrepreneur claimed that Dalljiet procured the legal papers for such an action against him, even before he could move to the court. Moreover, Nikhil mentioned that all of Dalljiet and Jaydon’s personal belongings have been securely moved to a safe storage facility by his team, and that Dalljiet as well as her legal team has been made aware of its location, so that the actress may collect it at any time.

Moving forth in his statement, Nikhil Patel termed his estranged wife, Dalljiet Kaur’s legal actions as ‘dramatic public stunts’, and he doesn’t wish to be dragged in it. He asserted further how Dalljiet constantly tagging him and highlighting their past relationship has been hindering him to move on peacefully with his life. However, Nikhil elaborated that he wishes Dalljiet to accept the situation, understand the matter and move over from the brief past they shared, and instead focus on her future with her son, Jaydon. Concluding his statement, Nikhil Patel made it clear that he would, on the other hand, continue to live an absolutely distant life away from Dalljiet and the false media stories that she has apparently built.
Amidst all the ground shackling troubles that Dalljiet Kaur has been facing in her personal life, it has been all the more difficult for her son, Jaydon, to process it all. In a recent interaction with Times Now, Dalljiet spoke along the same lines, and talked about raising her son single-handedly. Proudly calling herself her son’s father, she said:
“Right from paying the electricity bills to driver and grocery bills, I have provided for everything. Whether it's the driver or the car, the school fees or extracurricular activities, I have paid for it. I have also changed his nappies, kept track of his vaccinations and attended all the PTA meetings. I can say that I have been a good mother. A woman can balance between motherhood and work and no lady should ever forget that. I am a proud father to Jaydon. Single mothers, raise a toast to yourself. Be proud of yourself.”

Back on June 14, 2024, Dalljiet Kaur made a firm step in securing her rights and issued a stay order against her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel, who not only mis-recognised their marriage, but also threatened to throw away all her and her son’s belongings from his home in Kenya. As a response, Dalljiet moved a court in Kenya to issue a stay order against Nikhil, that prohibited him to evict her and Jaydon, as well as their belongings from his home.
