The film was initially released in theatres on October 17, 2025, and sparked discussions about workplace assault and reignited the MeToo movement.

After the Hunt has an impeccable lineup, with Runaway Bride, Wonder, Pretty Woman , and Ocean's Eleven star, Julia Roberts, in the lead as 'Alma Imhoff'. Ayo Edebiri joins the cast as 'Maggie', known for her work in Abbot Elementary and Opus. The Amazing Spider-Man and We Live in Time star, Andrew Garfield, also plays a pivotal role as 'Hank' in the film.

With plenty of merits and a good reputation, Yale philosophy professor, 'Alma Imhoff' (Julia Roberts) is aiming to get tenure at the prestigious school when her young protege, 'Maggie' (Ayo Edebiri). She accuses 'Hank' (Andrew Garfield), 'Alma's' close friend and fellow professor, of s**ual assault.

However, torn between loyalties, whose side will 'Alma Imhoff' choose? 'Alma's' life soon begins to spiral as she desperately tries to keep one of her own secrets hidden. Nonetheless, will she be able to do so and whose side will the Yale professor take? Will she believe her protege, or will her friendship with 'Hank' take precedence?
