Bollywood actress Ananya Panday’s cousin Ahaan Panday is gaining momentum in the film circle as he gears up for his acting debut in the soon-to-be-released film, Saiyaara. With his name coming up multiple times following the film’s trailer release, fans are not just curious about the newcomer’s on-screen charm but are also intrigued by his celebrated family background. While his cousin Ananya Panday is already a household name, let's dive deeper into Ahaan Panday's low-profile yet celebrated background.
Ahaan Panday is all set to make his big debut with Yash Raj Films’ Saiyaara, a romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri. He is set to star opposite a fellow newcomer, Aneet Padda. The film’s trailer was released recently, and within just 24 hours, it has garnered millions of views. The film reportedly follows the intense love story of ‘Krish Kapoor’ (Ahaan Panday) and ‘Vani’ (Aneet Padda), and is already generating buzz online. With impressive first glimpses, fans are excited to see what this fresh pair brings to the silver screen.
Ahaan Panday is the son of Aloke Sharad Panday, aka Chikki Panday, and his wife, Deanne Panday. Unlike his elder brother Chunky, Chikki maintains a relatively low profile. Aloke Panday is a well-respected philanthropist and businessman who co-founded the Akshara Foundation of Arts & Learning, a non-profit organisation that provides education to underprivileged children.
Chikki Panday's wife, Deanne, is a celebrated wellness expert, lifestyle coach, and author. She is a popular name in the fitness domain, especially among celebrities. Deanne is also known for her two bestselling books, I’m Not Stressed and Shut Up and Train!. Besides being a star wife, she has carved a niche for herself with her celebrity clients and booming social media presence.

Chikki Panday and Deanne tied the knot in 1994 after dating each other for a decade. The celebrity couple is parents to two children, Alanna Panday and Ahaan Panday. Ahaan’s elder sister, Alanna, is also a known name on social media with a prominent presence as a lifestyle influencer.
Alaana currently enjoys a massive 2.1 million followers on Instagram and also has around 1.65 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. The influencer tied the knot with American filmmaker and photographer Ivor McCray in 2023, and the couple welcomed their first child, River, in July 2024.
Ahaan’s uncle is none other than Chunky Panday, the veteran actor best known for his iconic comic role as ‘Aakhri Pasta’ in the Housefull franchise. Beyond comedy, he has delivered impressive performances in films like Aankhen and Tezaab. Chunky is married to Bhavana Pandey, a fashion entrepreneur who catapulted into the spotlight after appearing on Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Chunky and Bhavana are parents to two daughters, Bollywood actress Ananya Panday and her younger sister, Rysa Panday.
Beyond the Bollywood glam, Ahaan Panday’s brilliant lineage goes back to his grandfather, Dr. Sharad Panday, a renowned heart surgeon who was part of the team that performed India’s very first heart transplant at Mumbai's King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College.
Ahaan's grandmother, Snehlata Panday, was a physician and dietician who ventured into the wellness domain in her later life by opening a beauty parlour and slimming clinic. Dr. Snehlata co-founded a beauty salon and dieting centre, Slimelle, in Mumbai, where she served as a consultant gynaecologist for Bollywood stars and socialites.
Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut film, Saiyaara, is slated for a theatrical release on July 18, 2025. If early reactions are any indication, Ahaan is well on his way to carrying forward the family legacy. What are your views on the upcoming debut?
