'Saiyaara' Fame, Ahaan Panday's Short Film With Chunky Panday Goes Viral, Netizen Say, 'Born Actor'

Ahaan Panday has been making headlines with his debut in Mohit Suri’s latest directorial, Saiyaara. For the unversed, Saiyaara was released on July 18, 2025. In fact, the on-screen romance between Ahaan and his co-star, Aneet Padda, also became the talk of the town. The 2016 short film titled Fifty is a heartwarming story revolving around a school boy named 'Ajay Salve', played by Ahaan Panday, who is addicted to smoking. However, 'Ajay's' love for a street child, 'Adish', made him quit smoking. He started to fund 'Adish’s' school fees. The short film starts with Chunky Panday, who plays the grown-up 'Ajay' character. The story shows both past and present. At present, 'Ajay' is suffering from stage two lung cancer. The story also features Adish Duggal, who plays 'Ajay’s' friend, 'Dhruv'. During their school days, it was always 'Ajay' who gave the money for the cigarettes. But years later, when 'Ajay' was diagnosed with cancer, it was 'Adish' who helped him as he became the doctor. The film, directed by Manav Chauhan, was intended to convey that generosity is above all else.

Netizens shower love on Ahaan and Chunky’s short film

Even since the 2016 short film, featuring Ahaan and Chunky, resurfaced online, netizens have heaped praise on the debutant. Lauding Ahaan for preparing himself as a better actor, one user wrote, "Now that's how you use your privilege to prepare yourself and become better and better! More about Ahaan Panday

Ahaan was born on December 23, 1997, in Mumbai. He is now widely recognised as the Saiyaara actor. Besides being a debutant who is winning hearts through his stellar performance, Ahaan also has a connection with famous Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and his daughter, Ananya Panday. Chunky is Ahaan’s uncle, and Ananya and Ahaan are cousins. Before making his debut, Ahaan appeared in short films such as Fifty and Jollywood. He also worked as an assistant director in films, including The Railway Men and Mardaani 2.
