She explained that while she once believed that social media was important for her career, the constant need to maintain an online persona has drained her originality.

In the same note, Aishwarya admitted that she had long believed social media was essential for her career. However, she soon realised that the platforms were draining her creativity. She wrote that the constant need to ‘cater’ to an online image has distracted her from research, acting, and original thought, which are vital to her craft.

Aishwarya Lekshmi said that every simple pleasure became joyless because of social media

Aishwarya revealed that social media had taken away more than it had given her. She shared how it affected her vocabulary, made every simple joy meaningless, and left her catering to trends instead of focusing on originality. Aishwarya believed that quitting social media was the first step toward reclaiming her authentic self and protecting her creative process.

Aishwarya Lekshmi has decided to choose her art over popularity

Aishwarya acknowledged the risk of being forgotten in today’s digital age, where out of the ‘gram is out of the mind. Yet, Thug Life actress embraced this possibility, declaring that she would rather focus on creating genuine cinema and meaningful connections. She stated that she refused to be moulded by social media expectations and wanted to keep the ‘little girl in her’ original. Aishwarya ended her note with a request to her fans: if she succeeds in creating meaningful cinema, they should continue supporting her ‘old style’.
