Aishwarya Rai has been married to Abhishek Bachchan for quite a number of years. They are blessed with a beautiful daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. However, as per reports, Aishwarya and Abhishek's paradise was hit with some troubles best known to them. This led to rumours about Aishwarya and Abhishek's divorce. But nullifying all of them, Aishwarya recently dropped a lovely birthday post for Abhishek. But rumours about her alleged feud with her in-laws and the actress, living separately from them, are still filled in the gossip columns.

Amidst all of this, an old video from one of the interviews of Aishwarya Rai surfaced on the internet. In the video, Aishwarya was asked by the interviewer, David Letterman if she lived with her parents. To which, she immediately answered yes. David further questioned, "Is that common in India for older children to live with their parents?" Listening to this, Aishwarya, who is extremely close to her parents, gave a sassy answer, making the interviewer affirm that he had learned a lesson that night. She said:

"It's fine to live with your parents because it's also common in India that we don't have to take appointments with our parents to meet for dinner so."

Netizens' reaction to Aishwarya's take on staying with parents

As soon as the video was shared online, netizens started praising Aishwarya for her take on the same matter. Many netizens also claimed that she outsmarted the foreign interviewer with her sassy reply. However, some social media users also mentioned the importance of living with one's parents, which is just not seen in Western countries.

Aishwarya Rai's alleged ongoing feud with her in-laws

Well, if reports are to be believed, for the longest amount of time, there has been an ongoing feud between Aishwarya and her in-laws, leading to her separation rumours with Abhishek. The rumours claim that Aishwarya has been living separately with her daughter, Aaradhya due to some issues with her in-laws, especially with her mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law, Shweta Bachchan. This was the reason which created a difference between Aishwarya and Abhishek. However, neither Aishwarya nor the other members of the Bachchan family have directly reacted to the same.

Shweta Bachchan once revealed what she hates and tolerates about Aishwarya Rai

During her stint in an earlier episode of Koffee With Karan 6, Shweta Bachchan once talked about her sister-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Shweta had revealed the qualities of Aishwarya, which she loved, hated and tolerated. Amitabh Bachchan's daughter also revealed that she loves Aishwarya's qualities, like a self-made, strong woman and a fantastic mother. However, Shweta mentioned that she tolerates Aishwarya's time management and hates that she rarely returns phone calls and messages. In Shweta's words:

“I hate that she takes forever to return phone calls and messages. I tolerate her time management.”
