Aishwarya Rai 'Didn't Speak A Word' During Her Ugly Breakup With Salman Khan, 'She Realised Early..'

Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan were once the power couple of Bollywood, who were head-over-heels in love with one another. However, their affair was short-lived as the actress broke up with Salman. After a few years of courtship, Aishwarya accused Salman of physical violence and parted ways with him on an ugly note.

After Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s ugly breakup, there were a lot of reports about their troubled relationship. In a recent conversation with ANI, ad guru, Prahalad Kakkar revealed how Aishwarya kept her dignity and ‘didn’t speak a single word’ about her breakup with Salman. In his words:

“That’s her dignity. She realised very early in life that her silence was her dignity and strength. And that bothered the media. So, they were constantly trying to demean, criticise, and bring her down so she comes down to a point where she says, ‘Enough! I’ll give you what you want!"

In the same conversation, Prahalad also called Salman a ‘difficult’ actor, who had a ‘lot of issues’. The ad filmmaker further stated that Aishwarya had a very close-knit circle of friends and confidants, whom she trusts. Prahalad also revealed that Aishwarya only speaks freely with the people she trusts; otherwise, she keeps mum. The ad filmmaker also stated that since she never opened up to the media, they tried to demean her.

When Aishwarya Rai spoke about her breakup with Salman Khan

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai ruled the headlines in the 90s when the two were head over heels in love with each other. It was on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cult film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, when Salman and Aishwarya’s on-screen romance transformed into their off-screen love. In many interviews, Salman openly confessed his love for the former Miss World.

However, after a few years of courtship, Aishwarya and Salman parted ways on an ugly note. In a throwback interview with The Times of India, Aishwarya revealed the reason behind her breakup and bared her heart out. In her words:

“Salman and I broke up last March, but he isn't able to come to terms with it. After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened.”
