Bollywood actress, Jividha Sharma made her debut next to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Subhash Ghai's 1999 movie, Taal. Aishwarya, ever since after winning the title of 'Miss World', was known as the most beautiful woman. It is said that her fame skyrocketed after she won the prestigious title. Now, Jividha recently shared her experience of working with Aishwarya and confessed the assumptions she had made about the blue-eyed beauty before working with her.
Jividha, in a recent interview with Lehren shared about the assumptions she had made before she started working with Aishwarya. When the actress was doing Taal, her fame was at its peak as she also had Iruvar along with Aur Pyaar Hogaya. Jividha shared that her preassumed notions were broken through Aishwarya's professional ethics, humble nature and disciplined attitude. Jividha spoke about the rumours she heard of Ash having airs and said:
"People had said she has an attitude because of the Miss World title and all that. So even I went in with that impression. But when I actually met her and spent time with her on set, I realized she was nothing like that. She’s very simple, very grounded—a genuinely good person."
Jividha going ahead, in the interview shared that she noticed how hardworking Aishwarya was on the sets of Taal. She and the superstar actress had many scenes together and Jividha observed how focused Aishwarya was. It was as if she knew that a big title was already attached to her name. Jividha shared that the actress kept reworking her scenes, especially her dance moves until it was not aced to perfection. Aishwarya inspired Jividha when it came to the dance scenes in the movie where they had to perform Kathak together. In the words of Jividha:
"Despite being trained in Kathak and having all those credentials, she didn’t take anything for granted. She never acted like she knew it all. If a step didn’t look right, she would do it again and again. She wouldn’t give up until it was flawless. That really inspired me. I genuinely liked her and even wanted to be like her at that point," said Jividha.
In the movie, Taal, Aishwarya, who was seen next to Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor, played 'Mansi'. She is shown to be a girl from a small town who becomes a big actress in a city after she undergoes a heartbreak. As seen in the movie's first half, Aishwarya is seen in her no-makeup avatar and wears nude shades of black and white. As seen in the second part of the film she rises like a pixie and her costumes are in contrasting colour, as she focuses on healing and her dance. Speaking of Jividha, Aishwarya's Taal co-star after making her Bollywood debut she was then seen in Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa which was Kuku Kohli's 2002 movie. The film created a massive hit at the box office and as per a News 18 report, made Rs. 9 crore.
