Ajay Devgn is one of the finest actors in the Hindi entertainment industry, and it is safe to credit him for popularising the tough guy image in films. It was in 1991 when he made his debut with the film, Phool Aur Kante, and since then, he hasn’t looked back on his professional life. Recently, Ajay Devgn talked about a terrible event that took place in his life.
Bollywood star, Ajay Devgn and director, Rohit Shetty joined Salman Khan in the most recent 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode of Bigg Boss 18 to promote their forthcoming movie, Singham Again. When Salman Khan saw that Ajay was wearing glasses during their conversation, Salman asked, "Aankh pe jo chot lagi thi yehi pe lagi thi kya? (The eye injury that you suffered was in this one?)" in reference to an injury Ajay had previously had. Rohit added, "Haan iss film pe (Yes, in this film)."

After that, Salman described what happened with Ajay during the Singham Again filming. Salman Khan said that Ajay had shown him an action sequence that led to his eye injury. Recalling their conversation, Salman said:
"Ajay showed me a shot. There was a mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye."
Ajay Devgn revealed that a major eye injury had been caused by an action sequence that was ill-timed during a shoot. He disclosed that he had to have minor surgery and was blinded for two to three months, underscoring the dangers of acting out action scenes. Salman stated that performers in action-packed parts are subject to occupational hazards. He also said that these accidents are a natural part of the work. Thinking back on his decades-long career in Bollywood, Ajay Devgn added that technical developments have made filming these scenes safer and simpler than in the past. In Ajay Devgn's words:
"Do-teen mahine toh vision chali gayi thi (I even lost my vision for two-three months). I went through a little surgery also."
The episode also featured nostalgic moments as Salman Khan talked about his time, working with Ajay and Rohit's fathers. Shilpa Shirodkar, a contestant, talked about her relationship with Ajay and recalled a movie they had co-shot called Singer that was never released. Ajay said that it was only his second movie after Phool Aur Kaante. When Shilpa said she wanted to collaborate with him once more, the actor was quite receptive.

Her departure brought tears to the eyes of another competitor, Shrutika Arjun, who said, "You don’t deserve to go." Shehzada Dhami gave her a warm embrace and said he would see her outside. Viewers were drawn in by the episode's harmony of poignant dialogue and dramatic reality show scenes, which combined drama and nostalgia.
