India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani is the owner of Mumbai Indians, one of the most successful teams in IPL. His elder son, Akash Ambani and wife, Nita Ambani closely monitor the key decisions of the franchise and often turn cheerleaders for their players during crucial games. Indian cricketer, Rohit Sharma, the only batsman in the world to score a double century twice in limited overs, is the captain of MI. However, earlier this month, it was announced that Hardik Pandya will replace Rohit Sharma as the captain.
Recently, the Mumbai Indians franchise has been facing mixed reactions from fans, who are furious with Hardik Pandya replacing Rohit Sharma as the captain. During the IPL 2024 auction, Akash Ambani was asked about Rohit by an MI fan, and his short reply brought joy to the entire fan club. During the event, an MI supporter shouted:
"Rohit Sharma ko wapis lao."

There's no denying the fact that Rohit Sharma is loved by many people around the globe, and watching him on the cricket field is a treat to the eyes. Reacting to the fan's request, Akash Ambani gave a cheeky reply. Akash delighted all the cricket fans and shared that Rohit Sharma will be doing batting this year. He was heard saying:
“Chinta mat karo, wo batting karega.”
Later, the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians also acknowledged the team's owner Akash Ambani's statement, and confirmed the news. As per a report in DNA, Mumbai Indians still have Rs. 10.5 crores remaining in their account for the IPL 2024. This year, the team has some big names, including Gerald Coetzee, Dilshan Madushanka, Mohammad Nabi, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Tilak Verma in the squad.
